Villa Sphendone in Istanbul

Such a wonderful experience at this little guest house! We stayed at four people room, The room was spacious. It even has a little coffee machine with coffee pods to use. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was so good! The eggs were so yummy! We looked forward to our breakfast time everyday while we stayed there. Special thanks to the employees Efe and Mehmet. Before we arrived, the communication through what's app was very prompt and helpful. They really made us feel like home! It's not just a hotel but it provides warm hospitality which made our turkey experience so much more special ❤️ They also help arrange transportation with reasonable price. Highly recommend this place!

Spent some unforgettable days here. Efe, Mehmet and Seif were great hosts, very helpful and it was always a pleasure to have conversations with them. Their breakfast is a wonderful start of the day, we will definitely come again!

We spent three nights at this accommodation. Efe and Svetlana were very kind and helpful. Svetlana even washed our clothes! We are very grateful for that!
The room was clean and smelled nice, as did the bedding! The internet worked well! And the bed was fantastically comfortable!
Svetlana prepared a fresh breakfast for us every day, and it was plentiful! Every day there was something new, and it was beautifully presented! I can only recommend this accommodation to everyone!
And the location is fantastic! All the sights are nearby!

Really nice experience with super great value and superb service. Effe and Mehmet are really friendly and helpful. They checked on with us all the time to make sure if our needs were met. Excellent location, only about 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque. The neighborhood is convenient, with some nice restaurants and a little supermarket and fruit store nearby. The room is clean, with a king sized bed and a comfortable sofa bed. The hotel is a small but has a nice garden where you can eat delicious nicely set breakfast with the amazing omelet the beautiful chef cooks. Really amazing hotel. The service you get here is beyond 5-star. Highly recommended!

Great place with really nice staff. They were very friendly and helpful. Last day we were leaving earlier, so the night shift staff made personal breakfast for us so we wouldn't check out empty handed!
Room is boutique type, which we were fine with. Breakfast was served outside in the garden, which was very beautiful
Overall, great place

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days. The owner, Denis, was a joy to talk to. He would take time from his day to have a chat with us and share his immense knowledge of Turkey. With his past experiences in being a tour guide he advised us on places to visit which were touristy and non-touristy ensuring we had the full experience of living in Istanbul.

The hotel has 4 rooms, all large sizes with aircon. Our room was very spacious and decorated classically, something we grew to appreciate. There were some minor issues however they were promptly sorted by Dennis. We did notice our room was not cleaned every day but because most of our time was spent exploring the city this was also a minor issue.

Denis was flexible on when we had breakfast which was nice as some days we had a long day and wanted to sleep in. The breakfast is a Mediterranean style breakfast, so you get olives, feta cheese, salami, cucumbers, tomatoes, bread, yogurt etc, different to what we usually have and far healthier! During breakfast Denis would chat with us and tell us stories of his past which were interesting to listen to.

The location is perfect, literally 10 or 15 min walk to Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and the main tram line. From the tram line you can head to the ferry where you can explore other areas of Istanbul. The area is hilly so would recommend comfortable footwear and can get hot so buy plenty of water bottles. There were so many restaurants and cafes near by so food was not an issue. If you want to experience true Turkish food Denis will gladly tell you some places to try out.

Overall we would definitely stay here again if we ever came back to Istanbul!

Nice and comfortable big 4 rooms

It's not a luxury hotel. It's not actually a hotel. The owner is very nice however.

- it's a villa converted to small hotel, 4 rooms.
- the room size is good and the bathroom also
- oriental furniture, looks nice but not very practical. A bit old.
- furniture is a bit old
- breakfast was fine
- the area in the middle of the old town with many attractions on walking distance
- the streets cobblestone is gaping, you may struggle with a baby stroller
- the taxi struggled to find the place, follow Google map and look for a small sign behind a tree at the front door
- the owner is cooperative, he accepted to refund my non-refundable booking when I didn't want to stay.

I'm giving 4 stars although I didn't like it because it's not the style I wanted but it would be good if you like this style.
