The hotel is in a very convenient location, with a metro station, tram stop, bus station and the airport shuttle all nearby, making it easy to get anywhere. There’s also a currency exchange with a very good rate right outside the main entrance, which was very handy.
The room was well equipped and the water pressure was strong. Breakfast was very generous, and the lobby also features a restaurant and bar, which was a nice addition.

The location is excellent if you want to stay in taksim. The breakfast was mostly fresh and of good quality and improvement can be done to make it perfect especially in terms of sweets items. Internet was fine. Cleanliness is good but should be more details oriented. Lighting in room and insulation should be improved. Receptionists are friendly and polite.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful ground floor to the inside room! The breakfast was very nice, the coffee was outstanding, and the staff took very good care to keep everything clean and restocked. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and very. My only complaint is that you cannot control the temperature in the room and it was too warm for my comfort. Other than that, it’s an excellent location for sightseeing and has plenty restaurants around.

This hotel has a very British feel to it. The lobby boasts a bar (with outdoor seating), an old-fashioned English telephone booth, and a piano. The staff wear uniforms, and the restaurant is run with impeccable standards – you even have to sign in before entering (out of 10 hotels we stayed at in 23 days, this was the only one that did this, which was impressive 👍). The breakfast spread is generous, and what truly stands out is that they replace the tablecloths after every guest, a detail that speaks volumes about their attention to detail (again, the only hotel that did this). The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere, especially with the airport bus stop just a five-minute walk away on a flat path. They even went above and beyond by decorating our room beautifully for our 35th anniversary, adding a wonderful surprise and joy to our trip!

The room's location on Istiklal Street was super convenient for shopping.
Facilities: Very good.
The lobby sofas were so soft, and the hotel room itself had a lovely vintage feel.
Hygiene: Clean and tidy.
Service: Very welcoming. I'd definitely stay here again if I come back.

I stayed at Nippon Hotel during the end of the year and New Year period. The hotel was fully booked, including many families, yet the overall experience was very good.
The service was excellent, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and it fully matched my expectations. Housekeeping and staff support were professional and responsive.
Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and if something was not available, the staff were willing to accommodate special requests, which was appreciated.
The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with easy access to exchange offices, supermarkets, restaurants, and shisha cafés. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.
I wish the hotel continued success.

On the first night, I complained to the hotel because I couldn’t sleep due to the heat (in winter time), I was tired then. They were unable to fix the air conditioner, and next morning I asked to change rooms. They moved us to another room that is smaller, for four people, but with better air conditioning. This means I paid for a Family Deluxe room of 35 m² but had to stay in a room of about 20 m². This experience is bad.
I have stayed at three other hotels in Turkey during this trip, and all of them were good. Only Nippon Hotel made my holiday incomplete. I really regret choosing Nippon Hotel; if I had read other guests’ reviews on Google more carefully, I would not have made this booking.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The property is very clean, and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and consistently helpful. I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the welcoming fruit plates and Turkish delights, which made the stay feel even more personalized.
The breakfast was fair, with a reasonable selection. One of the strongest aspects of the stay was the team at the reception; they were always attentive, responding to guest requests promptly and professionally.
Overall, a comfortable stay with great service and good hospitality. I would happily consider returning.

Good service overall. In the rooms, the wardrobes are very small. If you plan to go with small children, you won’t be able to enter or exit with a stroller, which really annoyed me. The hotel doesn’t have parking. Breakfast is moderately good.

Edit 1: the issue is solved after a long discussion back and forth with the hotel and Booking.com.

I just arrived today at 2 PM, and the room was extremely hot. I asked the reception to check the air conditioning, and they told me it was fixed. I trusted them and went out for the day. When I came back around 10 PM, the room was even hotter!
I called the reception again (different shift this time), and the person told me there’s no cold air, only heating, because the entire building uses central AC. Seriously? Every guest has to accept the same temperature? What if someone wants a cooler room? This makes absolutely no sense.
I told him that if they cannot provide cold air, then please refund my money so I can move to another hotel. He told me to contact Booking.com. I did, and Booking informed me that the hotel just needs to send a confirmation email to approve a refund. However, the reception refused, saying that only the reservation team can do that — and they don’t work on weekends! So now I have to wait until Monday, meaning I’m forced to spend two nights in a room at 29°C!
This is completely unacceptable. Poor management, poor communication, and zero care for guests’ comfort. I am stuck here suffering because of their unprofessional system.
Avoid this hotel unless you enjoy sleeping in a sauna!
