No entertainment. No night life, absolutely nothing. Both became severely ill due to the breakfast which is literally just boiled eggs and salad, not even a toaster in sight! We was charged almost £100 extra upon arrival for our stay just for the aircon as the rooms are absolutely freezing cold (so aircon is in heat mode)
You’re not allowed to bring back food to the hotel and they have a sign to say food is not permitted, but we did anyway as how else are we supposed to eat? It’s just a method to get you to spend more money here 😒 sign says you must use their restaurant to purchase meals (which we’ve never been offered to use) plus- I glanced at their kitchen whilst walking past and it looks like a mortuary😂
Every day when you leave the hotel, Turkish people sit around in pure silence like you’re attending a wake / funeral daily. Absolutely 0 interaction from the staff, not even a good morning or a hello- nothing! The only good thing about the hotel is it’s directly opposite the beach. The photos online of the hotel are fake photos. There is no snooker table. No swimming pool and all the photos are of Turkish people, not holiday makers. When you leave your room, you remove your card / key from the wall which ends all electronics including your refrigerator 😒 so be prepared to come back daily to a watery floor.
The cleaners do an amazing job and always provided fresh bedding although never changed the blanket / duvet.
If you’re a wheelchair user, they have a lift. Although you have to go up 10 steps to use it. And 10 steps back down to leave it so it defeats the object for disabled people as it clearly cannot be used.
Absolutely no idea about the TV as we never used it once.
The shower drain reaks of death so we had to go to the local Carrefour shop to buy some bleach and drain unblocker. And the most pungent thing about the hotel which annoys me on a daily basis is the repulsive cat urine smell in the downstairs lobby! It hits you in your face when you leave, and when you arrive back.
Best part about this hotel other than the beach? Leaving. Knowing you’ll never ever return back here again
- I would like to express my dissatisfaction and disappointment with the accommodation which I booked. Instead of being accommodated in Hotel Kleooatra Bavyera, which I paid for, I was accommodated in Hotel Bebek. No one informed me about it or asked if I wanted it. Instead of an apology, I received information that I can pay an extra 100 euros for the balcony. The room smelled like a public toilet and the windows couldn't be closed. I have never experienced such a stressful vacation and rude behavior in my life.
There was a mention of the rudest guy in the world in the previous reviews, which I can verify, the guy at the reception - that's the owner.
When we entered the room, the floor was flooded from the fridge. Went back to the reception, waited for 10 min while the owner was at the office and didn't feel like coming out. He said that I needed to wait till tomorrow morning when the cleaning crew comes for work as he is not a cleaner, but the owner and can't do anything about it.
Truth to be told, he did approve my asking to get me 2 towels to clean the floor.
The room is not small, but there were 4 beds for the 2 of us which took much of the space. It definitely isn't suitable for 3 or 4 persons.
The room was not super clean, especially the sticky windows, the shower glass and some other parts of the bathroom. However, the cleaning lady was coming every day to clean the floors and take out the trash (we didn't use the cleaning every day, obviously). No sheets changes in the period of 11 nights, towels change only if you ask.
The balcony is specious.
It is so hot in Alanya that you must pay 7eur per day for the airco remote. I find it overly expensive.
No swimming pool use.
The staff (except for the owner) are friendly. They work all day and some deep in the night without free days.
The Wi-Fi was reachable from the room 406 as it looked over the street. It often disconnects, and then connects again. You can't talk via viber, that's how slow it is, but photo's can be sent.
Live music on occasions, loud music and talking. You can't sleep with the terrace door opened.
The location is amazing and that is the whole reason why people stay at this hotel beside the price.
The beds are very comfortable.
TV has bad antenna and few channels, but the remote is tricky, you can't always turn the TV on, takes time.
The shelves in the wardrobe are holding on a needle, so can easily fall down.
The toilet seat is loose, toilet knob broken, but the water pressure is ok, and there is always hot water. Truth to be told, it's pretty hard to set the right temperature as the tab is very old.
No sound insulation whatsoever. We were lucky to have quite neighbors.
Breakfast: occasionally omelet, white cheese in different shapes, boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, 3 types of olives, fake butter and jam. Good bread, though. Oranges and watermelon (sometimes fresh, sometimes not). Bad coffee, good tea.
We knew 2 other guests who had stayed in different room, and their room was in much worse shape than ours and didn't have any wi-fi there.
All in all, if the owner would go trough the rooms and have a few things fixed and changed, made sure that the windows are cleaned once a year, this would be a much nicer place. But he's the owner, right? Can't be bothered with such nonsense ;)
