Spacious and well-decorated rooms with sea or land views praised for comfort and cleanliness by many guests. Large pool area with multiple pools and water slides enjoyed by families and children. Friendly and helpful staff at reception and medical services noted in several reviews. Variety of bars and restaurants providing diverse food options, including outdoor snack bars and à la carte restaurants. Excellent beach with smooth sandy entry into the sea and free sun loungers and umbrellas. Frequent complaints about inconsistent room cleaning, with some guests reporting dirty bathrooms and delayed housekeeping. Food quality and variety described as repetitive and sometimes undercooked, with cold dishes reported occasionally. Crowded pool and beach areas with closely packed umbrellas reducing privacy and space. Issues with staff demanding or expecting tips despite all-inclusive service, negatively affecting guest experience. Limited English spoken by staff and poor coordination in managing food allergies, including gluten-free diets, leading to unsafe dining conditions.

Location

The hotel sits on the sea shore with a 116-meter private sandy beach just 40 meters from the main building, separated by a promenade. Nearby, within 300 meters, is the highly rated Çolaklı Beach Club restaurant. The hotel’s position offers easy access to Side’s historical sites and harbor area, reachable by taxi or local transport. Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s own extensive grounds without needing to travel far for dining, entertainment, or beach activities.

Tips

  • Reserve sun loungers early in the morning to secure a spot by the pool or beach, as these areas can get crowded.
  • If you have food allergies, especially gluten intolerance, communicate clearly with Guest Relations and consider pre-ordering meals to avoid cross-contamination issues.

This year it was not good, there was a lot of crowd and noise, all the umbrellas were close to each other with no space between the sunbeds. This is not acceptable, there was no privacy and you couldn’t even walk through because of the crowds. The food was sometimes not good and cold, and the waiters did not serve properly because they wanted tips, even though you already paid for the service. The room was not clean either, there was a lot of hair on the carpet that had not been cleaned well.

This hotel is not for Brits, we were the only ones for the 10 days in the very large hotel, also very poor housekeeping that wasn’t to standard

We stayed at this hotel from 27 August to 3 September and it was the worst experience we have ever had. Cleaning was awful. The bathroom was dirty, toilet paper was not replenished, and after 28 August our bed was never properly made again. Theft from the room. The bottom part of my new swimsuit disappeared from the balcony. Later, cigarettes left on the balcony were taken twice, and when we arrived home we discovered that a bottle of perfume was missing from our closed suitcase. We repeatedly went to reception for help, but were constantly told to “come back later.” Only on the very last night were we directed to guest relations, which made no sense after several days had passed. Additional issues: Animators were completely forgettable, and the internet did not always work by the pool or in the restaurant. The only positives: The pool was nice, the food at the outdoor bar open during the day was good, and the location is not the worst. We came here based on recommendations, but instead of a pleasant holiday we left with missing personal belongings and frustration. Absolutely unacceptable. We were planning to return next year, but after this stay we will never come back and we strongly advise other travelers to reconsider before booking this hotel.

Initially overwhelmed by how stunning this hotel is. Unfortunately food was lukrwarm, tables never made, drinks hatd to order, rooms bately cleaned and overall id had better experience in 3* hotel. A la cartes never opened (too many tight arses who wudnt pay an extra bit for decent food, they only tequired x 10 guests to open) but really a 5* shud offer a 1 night a la carte free ( this was my experience in Marmaris and it was not a 5* and understand people dont want to pay extra after paying so much for stay). I jad to eat out almost every night and not much choice locally save for Faulty Friends. Having said that, pools and slides are great for kids, beach bar was only place I eat in day. Drinks were poor. Rooms barely cleaned (one day only one lge towel for 2 guests). No replenishment on 2 days. Poor english. Asking for euros everywhere. Reception staff good. Saadetta really helpful re trips & buses. Dr and Nurse great as we had to go hospital with little one and lovely bday cake, card, fruit and wine offered for my nfay. Pool and bar staff offer good entertainment. Beach bar staff friendly. Overall good experience but food lets this place down. Just have an actual donner kebab stall, fresh meet, salad and wraps!.Fresh pizza. Wouldnt stay agaim as not much to do nearby. Get a dolmus (bus) to Side Harbour as taxis are rip off.

Honest review from UK family. We were booked to a different hotel but TUI cancelled with a weeks notice and we were offered Alhambra as an alternative. Having stayed at the sister hotel Royal Palace previously we accepted the alternative. Family of 5 with 3 x teenagers we had 2 double rooms booked. On arrival reception were so helpful and showed us 2 x alternative rooms, a family room and a family duplex room. We opted for the family duplex with sea view at no additional charge and the room was perfect for our needs. Hotel is very clean and facilities are excellent, no complaint against the hotel or other guests at all but the guests appear to me more eastern European than UK which meant our teenagers didn't 'meet friends' also seemed to be youngest children and not many teenagers, not a criticism just an observation. Food we found very poor, even the fries were dried out and not good. We never went hungry but also couldn't say we truly enjoyed any meal. The sister hotel Royal Palace has a similar layout and their snack choice is fantastic. Alhambra is a poor relation with tasteless toasties and undercooked jacket potatoes along with dried out fries and soggy pizza. Meal times we always got a seat with no issue, just never truly enjoyed a meal and their was a lack themed nights which we usually experience in Turkey. Entertainment was mixed, some shows excellent some not so good. Unless you went to the amphitheatre for the shows there was a real lack of atmosphere. Pool bar nothing, Beach bar entertainment every other night but normally very chilled which is fine, but needs to be more mixed throughout. The lobby bar is called the piano bar but has no pianist or music which makes a lovely space dull. There were pool games etc throughout the day but being British we were never once asked if we wanted to join in. Hotel Spa was impressive and arguably the best massage I have ever had. Overall, hotel is impressive and clean but as UK based would not recommend for UK residents if you want to mingle and make friends. As a footnote I was ill whilst away with sickness and diarrhea and my eldest 16 required a hospital visit with an ear infection. Can I confirm either were any fault of the hotel? Not at all so no blame to hotel just relaying our experience.

My first impression of this 5 star hotel as we went through the lobby, when we checked in, early hours of the morning was Wow! The receptionist was very welcoming and explained what we had to do in the morning regarding where we can eat, and gave us our room keys and towels cards. I explained to him that my Daughter has a extreme Nut Allergy and seed Allergy, and he said that we had to talk to Guest Relations. We went to our room, we was Extremely impressed, only thing we was disappointed with, as we did request a Sea view, when we booked it through TUI, which we didn't get, but like I mentioned to my Husband, we would of had to pay extra for a sea view. That morning we went down to Guest Relations, where we told the man about my Daughters Allergys, all we got in return was a piece of paper with all the Allergys written, and was told just to show it every time we went to get something to eat for her, I found this experience very hard, as every time we tried to find the Chef on duty, was a mission on its own. My Daughter had a bad Nut Allergy reaction a few years previous to this in Turkey, so she was very scared at eating anything without getting the approval from the Chef. The hotel itself is amazing, the pools and the Entertainment Staff very good. But what let it down for us, was the lack of cleaning in our room, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting, we had to constantly ask for fresh towels and also toilet paper. My husband and daughter had diarrhoea for most of the hoilday, and myself and my other daughter didn't feel right with sorethroat and stomach aches every time after we eat. Since coming back my eldest daughter has had diarrhoea also. We won't be going back to this hotel, on the things ive mentioned above, the cleanliness in our room certainly wasn't on 5 star quality.

Admirations for the hotel. This summer, in the period 08.08-16.08, we visited the hotel for the second time. In 2023, we were wowed by the hotel and decided to spend our summer vacation there again. Unique! Food, staff, location, beach - everything is on point. The rooms and bathrooms were clean again. Overall, however, the base is a bit worn out. As the only minus, I point out the hot water in the pools and the lack of activity in the animators. For my wife's birthday, the hotel had organized a bunch of surprises and compliments. Thank you for the fun vacation and success of the hotel✌🏻

Everything was perfect! The room was beutiful, the bathroom was clean. The hotel overall is perfect! The beach was good. We spent much time there. The pools was clean, and not too deep. The restaurant has really good foods. This was a really good stay, except I almost got stuck in the elevator🙈 I recomend this hotel!

This hotel has left my family completely distressed, upset, and appalled. This was meant to be a relaxing family holiday, but instead, it turned into a constant struggle to keep my 9-year-old daughter safe due to her medical condition: coeliac disease that requires a strict gluten-free diet with zero tolerance for cross-contamination. From the moment we arrived, the experience was chaotic. After landing at 4:30am, we were not even provided with enough beds for our party to sleep in. But more critically, there was absolutely no effective or safe protocol in place for managing a guest with a diagnosed food allergy. On the first morning, I spoke to the TUI rep, explaining our situation and expressing serious concerns about cross-contamination. I was told to speak to Guest Relations, who handed me an allergy card to give to restaurant staff. Unfortunately, this process failed from the outset. Every single mealtime, we were passed from person to person – usually 5 or 6 different staff – none of whom spoke sufficient English to understand the severity of the allergy. My daughter was frequently offered inedible or inappropriate food options: hard gluten-free bread, inedible pizza, and gluten-free pasta with chopped tomatoes, even though I could see tomato sauces available at the buffet. She was unable to safely eat from the buffet due to cross-contamination risks and lack of ingredient labelling. This left her hungry, anxious, and excluded, while I had to supplement her meals with cereal and bread buns I had brought from home, and food I purchased from an external supermarket. To try and give my daughter one safe, stress-free meal, I booked the à la carte restaurant for a 60-euro supplement. We pre-ordered meals to avoid issues. Upon arrival, we were assured she had a specially prepared five-course gluten-free menu. She received egg-fried rice and prawns only. We were told all other courses contained gluten as well as another main course from the party not arriving at all. I spent over an hour that evening complaining – another ruined night – only to be told I should pre-order meals in the morning for the evening. We followed this advice: the process worked once, with a painfully long wait time. The following day, however, her meal wasn't ready, and I had to make her a sandwich myself. Later, I was called and told the meal was ready, requiring me to leave the family and return. In the end, we had to leave the resort entirely on two nights, paying €40 return taxi fare each time, plus external restaurant costs, just to ensure our daughter could safely eat. The fact that a supposed five-star resort could not safely provide a gluten-free meal is shocking, and it completely undermined the entire purpose of booking an all-inclusive package. Upon check-out, I was presented with the €60 à la carte bill. I explained I should not be charged given the complete failure in delivery, but was pressured for 40 minutes to pay. I finally agreed just to end the ord

Our first big family holiday for some time and a very mixed experience. On arrival we were greeted by a pleasant young lady miss wang I think, who continued to be helpful throughout the holiday. The hotel building and pools were very impressive. The rooms were large and well cleaned, fresh towels everyday and bedding every other day. Lovely view from balcony and mini fridge kept well stocked. The food hall was enormous with everything on offer every night. The difficulty is that the entire hotel use it in short periods of time, thus very difficult to get a table and felt more like a school canteen than a 5 star hotel. Rather than leave the other restaurants empty (no one wanted to pay extra) they could spread the footfall and make life easier. We loved our time by the pool each day, again when it came to lunch there was nowhere to sit in the poolside restaurant and ended up eating on the sun lounger. We did sit in the poolside bar to eat one day but were thrown out. Very understaffed in the one pool bar with items regularly running low, it also needed a god clean. A trip to side is very worthwhile, if you take a taxi to the ruins and walk through it leads to the harbour with lovely views and restaurants, shopping at the harbour is also very good, Overall we really liked the hotel although due to the havoc each night in the restaurant would not return.
