Reviews
First of all, the room itself was just ok—nothing great. One of the lamps was broken, and even the minibar door was damaged. Very poorly maintained.
Now, the real frustration:
Breakfast disaster – On the first night at check-in, I was told breakfast is from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. But every single day it started only around 8:30 AM! For three days straight, I had to leave late for my office just because breakfast wasn’t ready on time. If you advertise 8:00 AM, then keep it ready by 8:00 AM! I even complained, but nobody cared or took action. Completely unprofessional and irritating.
Water bottles – In almost every hotel, water bottles are free every day. But here, they shamelessly charge 2–3 dirhams per bottle after the first day. What nonsense is this? Absolutely ridiculous.
No basic facilities – I asked for plates and spoons to have dinner in my room, and they flatly told me it’s “not available.” Seriously? What kind of hotel doesn’t provide basic cutlery?
Breakfast floor access – To top it all, the lift doesn’t even go to the breakfast floor. You have to go down to the ground floor, then climb stairs up again to the first floor. Highly inconvenient and annoying.
Dirty bedding – The blankets and bed sheets were very old and dirty, and they even caused allergy-like reactions. Totally unacceptable.
Why is everything here either late, broken, unavailable, or chargeable? After looking at pictures online, I had decent expectations, but in reality, this hotel completely let me down.
Overall, a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Definitely not worth it.
Rating: 1/5 Stars
My experience here was dreadful. Do not be deceived by the images on Trip.com—the actual conditions are far from what is portrayed. The room assigned to me was utterly unacceptable. It was extremely unsanitary, with ants and cockroaches infesting the area. The carpet was sticky and emitted a foul odor that made it difficult to breathe. To exacerbate the situation, the air conditioning unit was malfunctioning and produced a loud banging noise throughout the night, rendering sleep impossible.
I have lodged complaints twice and was moved to three different rooms, all of which were in the same deplorable state.
This hotel does not deserve the 3-star rating it claims; it is below zero if such a rating exists.
Avoid Al Khaleej Grand Hotel if you care about your health and well-being.
The hotel is really terrible. There is no cleaning, the staff is very amateur, the rooms have nothing to do with the entrance. Mice and cockroaches are javelinning.
The toilets are very old and rusty, most parts are broken or not working completely.
All items, sheets and towels are old and stained. We wanted to cancel the reservation, it didn't help at all. He gave him another room, but he was equally bad in that room.
Especially that breakfast 🤮🤢 There is no washing dishes, they wipe the used plates and fork spoons with just a cloth and put them clean. It's disgusting and stained.
Those who respect themselves should definitely not stay at this hotel.
There is only one advantage; the location is close to the subway and the bazaar, and they stored our free luggage for the evening flight.
Rooms are overall good, but the staff, especially managers and receptionists, don't know how to talk with guests. They don't have leniency at all. They just simply know how to scam guests.
I booked a room for 10 days. and on the last 10th of the day, I just asked for a 1-hour grace period to vacate or check out the room, and they simply said no in a very disgraceful manner, and the manager was just humiliating us in front of everyone.
Please consider this review before booking the room in this hotel.
For solo travelers this is good enough.
The breakfast is not that great. Its the same kind everyday. It needs to be more inclusive and a variety is needed. Who eats noodles now for breakfast!!!!! COME ON!!! Make a change guys. Rest all good. A really good hotel in great price.
Daily room cleaning was not provided. Even after requesting at the reception, the room remained dirty. Privacy is also a serious issue — staff knock loudly on the door at random times asking, “Do you want room cleaning or not?” There are no “Do Not Disturb” or “Make Up My Room” signs available, which makes the stay very uncomfortable.
On top of that, the hotel location is very poor. The entrance is inconvenient and there is no proper parking facility.
Overall, this hotel fails in cleanliness, privacy, comfort, and location. I would not recommend it to families or anyone looking for a comfortable stay.
