Front desk didn’t reply to my messages 48h before my arrival which created a very unpleasant mess at my check-in at 1:30am, after a long flight. Western breakfast option is not varied at all, plus all bread tasted old. Lunch, on the other hand, was really good, but naturally upon extra payment. The pool area fit a max of 4 people and had a lot of flies, so it was rather uncomfortable.
Location was good -if you like very busy areas 24/7-, but it’s far from most Dubai attractions.
They will bully you into leaving a review, so personally I wouldn’t really trust the five stars.
If you’re a woman alone and you’re an introvert, I highly suggest you stay away from this area - too many creeps on the streets all the time.
Altogether, it was okay for what it was, and I’m grateful for the kind women who helped me, but I’d never stay here again.
- there was lots of beetles in WC and rooms.
- the noise of air conditioners was very loud and I couldn't sleep well.
- The bathroom was very dirty.
- breakfast options was limited.
- although the location of hotel is near the metro station but you need to change metro line to reach new Dubai in Sheikhzayed.
My family and I stayed at the hotel for a few days with a baby. The service was not good at all. In brief these are the issues we faced
- Bed bugs in the rooms/beds/couches (picture attached). When we complained about it, they changed our room and gave our original room with bed bugs to other customers. Our new rooms had issues in the bathroom where the sink and tub kept getting clogged. We left the hotel with bug bites all over
- Cleaning services entered our room in our absence without our permission to clean it. We had our belongings passports money everything in our room. We had not requested room cleaning nor did we place a card on the door asking for cleaning. When we complained, our complains and privacy was not taken seriously. The managers didnt see an issue with entering someones room without permission
- we would have left the hotel but there was a non refundable policy. When we asked for contact information to complain higher up, our requests were not taken seriously
If you're travelling with family, especially kids, save yourself from the discomfort. Parking is not available, rooms are not sanitized, there are bugs in the rooms, and complains are not taken seriously.
1. I wouldn't recommend it for solo female travelers; the environment is quite basic and doesn't feel safe.
2. The hotel facilities are extremely old, comparable to a guesthouse in a small town. The bathroom amenities are rudimentary, and the bed feels like something from a rental apartment.
3. Cleanliness is also just average. The sheets and duvet covers weren't clean enough; they looked white at first glance, but had colored stains on them.
4. The balcony isn't very secure. It's just a glass door, and although it locks, it doesn't feel very safe.
5. It's noisy, being right by the street.
6. The restaurant environment is okay. There aren't many food options, but the taste is decent, and the service staff are very nice.
