Absolutely disgusting my daughters and I ate feeling really sick . I would totally avoid this Chinese . Dosent even taste like chicken we binned most of it..

It's a case for the environmental health

Waited last night for a Chinese from New Wing Fu for over 1 hour 15, the wait time was fine as a Saturday night at peak time but I wish I didn't bother as the food was AWFUL! Very Very Oily and chips undercooked everything tasted horrible. I will NEVER order from here again as I have wasted £35.

I will be writing this review at a lot of different places to ensure people are warned about the quality of food

Very poor customer service. Called to place an order for a party the lady on the phone was so rude and unprofessional. Please management train your staff on how to speak on the phone. Take them on customer service training. I would give 0 star if i could. Your food might be good but your staff drives customers away.

Poor customer service. I rang the resturant to book a table and the lady who answered was very rude. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and still went in. We entered the resturant on a friday evening and waited 10 minutes to get attended to. I knocked on the staff door a few times and got no response. I was embarrased to death when a male customer i mistook for a staff member told me infront of my partner that he thought i stopped him to request for his number as he was a customer as well. Staff finally came out and everything we wanted on their menu was unavailable. We got frustrated and went else where even though we had come a long way to try Nigerian food. We won't be going back as it was a disgraceful experience.

Recently reopened (again). Seems to want to do everything - food, sports, music, cocktails - without doing any of them particularly well...

First off it is not called the Thomas a Becket anymore it is now the Rock Island. We went here to eat as it has recently changed hands and we wanted to see what it was like.

Unfortunately I have to leave a bad review. I was disappointed on many levels. In Short The Venue was to hot and the windows did not seem to open. The table we sat at was broken ( loose and wobbly). The staff were un attentive and did not seem to care. the service was slow and the food was mediocre at best.

Despite there being hardly anyone in the venue (7pm on a Sunday) the waitress did not realise we had arrived for quite some time. in fact we had do you go to the bar to ask to be served.

After ordering two cocktails we had to wait around fifteen minutes for just one to arrive which was not shortly followed by the second one. Again I point out that the Venue had around 8 people there. After ordering It took around 25 minutes our garlic bread to arrive which I have to say was very nice. We Noticed the second course was ready under the hot lamps around half hour after finishing the starter however it sat there for hours 15 minutes before someone thought to bring it to us.

The chicken burger was good however the sticky Asian chop was no longer hot and was disappointingly Bland.

We was not offered a second round of drinks after finishing the first and eventually we struggled to get someone's attention to get a glass of water.

Would not recommend this place
