Wow! What a fantastic hotel right in the heart of Whitechapel within a stones throw of Whitechapel station, it is quite literally a 3 minute walk and a 2 min walk to the famous Whitechapel market.

You can walk to Brick Lane within 15 mins and you can see the City from New Road in the distance but its not that far to walk, about 20 mins or so or you can just jump on the underground a few stops.

My niece and boyfriend stayed for the weekend with the breakfast and dinner option included and the food was absolutely fantastic quality.

Service was impeccable!

Rooms were really lovely - very clean!

Moreover, the kids felt very safe and comfortable here which was very important for us.

The hotel itself was an old textile warehouse and the style is industrial with lots of wood and low lighting, it really is gorgeous. They have done a marvellous job with this place.

Spotlessly clean, front of house reception staff were very warm, welcoming, kind and friendly. We would all stay here again it was just fantastic, honestly.

Lots of amazing eateries right on the doorstep of the hotel so lots to choose from plus lots of local history, the Jack Ripper walking tour, the Whitechapel Museum etc.

Bus Stop A for the National Express to Stanstead Airport is just around the corner from the Hotel - 2 min walk literally.

Cannot recommend this fab Hotel highly enough - would give it a 10 stars if I could.

Right in the centre of Whitechapel . Staff are always extremely friendly (our third stay)
Breakfast is excellent as are the facilities, free coffee stations, ironing facilities,
Rooms are very modern and comfy. Massive beds and lovely bathrooms with toiletries.
Restaurant on site and a lovely bar.

First of all, as a housekeeping supervisor, I have to say that everything was fine in the room. Cleanliness, comfortable bed, and the electric blinds that can be controlled from the bed, a great solution. (There are also EU and UK sockets in the room, which is also good)

Before we stayed at the hotel, I read the reviews and was a little worried about what to expect.

I read a lot about the rooms being cold, this was not the case with us. And there is the option to cool or heat the room with the air conditioning. I don't understand why this causes problems for guests.
Our room did not face the street front, so I can't comment on the noise. We didn't have breakfast, we didn't go to the restaurant or bar, so I can't say anything good or bad about it. But at first glance, both places looked good.
The complaints about the bathroom...yes an unusual solution, but with a little attention you don't soak everything, for three nights we managed not to flood the entire bathroom.
And the complaints about the area...what do you expect when the East London mosque is just around the corner?
We had no problems with the area or the locals. We walked around the streets a lot at night and nothing happened. But if that bothers you....just look at Google Maps to see where the hotel is located.

Unfortunately, for some people nothing is good enough...we had a great time, thank you for your hospitality New Road Hotel!

I staid here for a total of 4 nights. I had the pocket room, which was spacious enough for one person and for my needs. The room was clean and it was quite (I had a room opposite the street). I just didn't like the bathroom situation. When you take a shower, everything inside the bathroom is going to be wet, including the toilet... And there aren't enough storage solutions. There only were 3 hangers hanging on the wall. I really liked the staff, really helpful!

I paid a much cheaper rate for 2 nights due to a Black Friday sale which made the stay good value. Customer service is great and staff are very friendly and helpful.

I booked a room at New Road Hotel for my husband’s birthday a few months in advance but I was worried the day before arriving after seeing the most recent Google reviews. I emailed the hotel with my concerns and had requested a courtyard-facing room at the time of booking. Reception emailed me back to confirm the room and reassured me of my concerns.

Upon check-in we were given a road-facing room so I went to Reception to ask if we could change to the room type we requested. Reception apologised for the error and quickly checked us into a courtyard-facing room, and then later on they brought us brownies with candles which was a lovely gesture for my husband’s birthday.

The room was very nice, clean and spacious (we were in Warehouse K), and the bathroom is like a wet room. The bed was large and comfortable and the room was very quiet as it faced the courtyard instead of the main road. The heating system was working so we could adjust it to a comfortable temperature.

Unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate is provided in the communal areas on each floor, but it would be better if these drinks were already available in every room. Additionally, there is no drinking water provided in the rooms so you have to pay for a bottle.

Location is good. From the hotel you can walk to Whitechapel station in less than 10 minutes. You can take an underground train journey to Tottenham Court Road (only 3 stops via the Elizabeth Line) which is easily within walking distance to Covent Garden, Soho, Regent Street, and other areas of Central London.

Overall, a good experience. It is not luxury but was perfectly functional. I would return if I can book cheaper rates again when prices go on sale.

Very good and affordable hotel in London. Having close the Elisabeth line station is fast to reach both Canary Wharf and the city centre in 15min. The breakfast is a bit sparse but it's ok. The personnel is very nice and helpful.

I would not stay at this hotel again. Its price point suggests more than say for example a premier inn, but there was sadly nothing aside from the decor and smaller numbers of rooms that set it aside. Cooked breakfast was good but the buffet gave a poor selection, barista coffees were charged extra and there were no decaf options. Rooms were comfy, clean but very basic in terms of hanging space, toiletries, drinking water etc. Staff were often looking at their phones leading to a lack of approachability. Whitechapel offers handy location for a well connected tube and short walk to brick lane and spitalfields. We requested a quiet room but had a loud intermittent fan outside of our bedroom
window and building work started next door at 7:30am.

Overall a decent option. Some rooms facing the street are more noisy at night but besides that a good & affordable option

The hygiene is quite satisfactory. The mattress is relatively hard, not sticky. The quilt is relatively soft and close to the skin. There is no odor in the room. There is no dust on the table. The hot water is fast and the water pressure is relatively stable. The facilities are well maintained.
There are many places to eat around. The service attitude is very good and relatively standardized, including the front desk, the cleaning lady, and the maintenance master.

The hotel environment is good, the transportation is very convenient, the waiter is friendly, the hygiene is good, clean, the light is moderate, and the air conditioning is cold enough. (There are windows and the sunshine is comfortable)

Avoid at all cost... we ordered from just eat fancied turkish food and came across adiva with lots of decent reviews so we went with this place.

Food arrived on time, but was luke warm, doner meal was very dry and was just chunks of rubbery tastless pieces of cubes of meat. It was all sunken in oil and was like refried?? Came with just a pita drenched in oil and pfc style salad... no sauces nothing turkish about it.. no napkins.. came in pfc yellow polystiren that wasnt even closed properly.

My husnand ordered adana kofte... this was defo no adana.. was tasteless.. dry... rice was like it was not cooked. The kofte was pink inside and burntish on the outside.. we called to let the manager know.. he just hung up and in the background u could hear bengali language.. thats when we realised on the phone that these guys are not even turkish but trying to run a turkish lebanese place? It was why there was nothing authentic or tasty about it.

I couldnt believe the service :( spent alot of money for just dinner for two.

The food arrived about 30 mins earlier than it was supposed to, which was a pleasant surprise, but it was all downhill from there. The kofte was dry and had no taste as well as being tough and very poor quality. The rice was the lowest quality microwaveable rice that was dry and tasteless, too. The salad was not your usual Turkish salad, and was again utterly tasteless. The lahmacun tasted nothing like lahmacun and was incredibly doughy, undercooked and thick (more like a dreadfully made Italian pizza than like a Turkish lahmacun). Two of the meals were exactly the same although named differently, and were nothing like how they were supposed to be. These people are almost definitely not Turkish because there is no way that the food would taste nothing like Turkish food if they were. Extremely disappointing, particularly as this was a celebration meal and most of the guests were Turkish! Embarrassing, tasteless, dreadful. I wish I read the Google reviews before I ordered!

Very very poor food they are not Turkish people who ever run this business's I can bet 100£ they are not from Turkish origin. The tast of food so bad bland who ever cocking no passion about food ribs are half cooked rice I can Cooke better Turkish rice at home lamachun inside only sauce now keema. Pro:

Meat was OK

Cons:
-Soggy bread in the Lamachun which tasted raw
-Chilli sauce very tangy
-Salad compares to what would be put in a chicken burger

I left a £2 tip for the deliver rider. I actually feel like he should pay me to eat this food. I'll never order again from Adiva. It was my first and last.
20.08.2017 Rebecca
Very poor. Meat was poor quality and overcooked/dry. Halloumi was undercooked. Salad portion was tiny. Lamachun was doughy. Customer service was as difficult to swallow as their food.

Don't waste your money.
