Staff was courteous and accommodated us for a quiet room. The hotel has a great little vibe. Room is thoughtfully laid out and is super comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Cute hotel, good location-a lot quieter than expected since room was street level. Pillows are bit uncomfortable as they are really big. The parking was not explained well by front desk. You must call the front desk to get into the parking gate open. I had to back up, park and run to front desk 3 times for them to let me in. Could not stream on TV and channels were limited.

Clean room, very friendly staff but please, please, please have temperature control in the room so that guests can adjust their own temperature without calling front desk.

The hotel was in a perfect location for us, but we were a bit underwhelmed with the room. There were no drawers and no closet (annoying). There were no power outlets near the desk, but there were several near the bed which was great for phone charging. The staff was very nice. Checkout time is 11:00. There is small fitness room, but no treadmill and the Peleton bikes did not work.

Room temperature control, carpet was dirty, housekeeping requested and did not happen, and water in the room had been used and refilled. Spent a good deal of our time negotiating with the front desk about room temperature (they control for a number of rooms).

loved the location (no street noise complaints here), loved the staff, and the fact that you could text the hotel if you needed more towels etc. The parking garage at the hotel and self-parking isn’t the most glamorous, but still a wonderful stay :)

Yes the room is clean. Our room faced the Main Street and the curtains didn’t block much of the street lights. Check in was easy and didn’t interact much with the staff.

They have a nice restaurant adjacent/connected. Very decent. Although can't charge your meal to the hotel room. Super casual and effective for what they intend to deliver.

The hotel is ON BRAND for the Pali family. I've stayed at other properties and you can tell that the leaders of the organization have a specific formula. Highly value-oriented. Crafty. They are adept at making decisions on design at the room level. This shows up like functional design elements in the bathroom, for instance, that may offend true aesthetic-oriented people. I like it.

Very friendly and engaging staff. Coffee is great. Outdoor and indoor seating feel comfortable and add for a great formal or informal meeting place. Also nice to sit alone and do work or enjoy your coffee! Food options are limited, but they are great offerings that can satisfy you without taking away from the coffee.

The first commissary coffee shop. Parking used to be much easier. The coffee is always excellent. They started when there were few good roasts ties, and they had the best coffee beans from up and down the Pacific coast. However, many roasters has popped up in LA since then. Still nice place to do your work but not the only place.

water for espresso is set at 212° which is wayyyyyy to hot for espresso. It burns all the flavor away

Absolutely nailed the almond milk latte (and the heart shape - which is pretty hard to do!) ??? And my boyfriend's cappuccino (made with milk) was fantastic, too. Best coffee I've had since I've gotten back from Melbourne, Australia. This place is a go-to for all coffee snobs.

I would say Coffee Commissary is a pretty fair/above average coffee shop. Pretty standard, the decor is a cross between "classic adventurer" and "minimalist" which doesn't work super great at all times but is generally cool. The seating is laid out pretty inefficiently, so despite having a decent sized space, it's pretty rare that you'll ever get a seat because there are so few spots. I usually go to Coffee Commissary only when Coffee Coffee up the street is closed. Never had a bad experience here though, it's nothing terribly special, but definitely not bad!
