Nice place. Friendly staff. Restaurant was excellent. Paying for parking was the only thing i didn’t enjoy about it. But all in all excellent place to stay

The Handlery Hotel stay was great. Rooms were clean and the pool area was open even with the Rain on new year’s 2026. We got food and drinks from their pool area bar at a good price, the food was great. It’s a little outdated and it could use some upgrades or amenities added, but it had the San Diego look. One thing I would say is take out the Daily parking fee that is not added until you check in. Will I go again, yes. Close to old town, La Jolla, little Italy, and Downtown/Balboa Park which we visited and came back if we got wet. Also check out Bronx Pizza nearby. You won’t regret it.

Wonderful weekend with my sweet man. We liked the amenities and restaurant and lounge (bartender was great).

I tried canceling my room because my daughter's plan changed. She was going into bootcamp and having a hard time. I understand their cancellation policy I just thought they would take into consideration the reason as to why I had to cancel. If not a full refund maybe a partial.

There is no elevator, so it is difficult to carry large luggage up to the second floor, but being able to do laundry is a great thing during a long trip. The bar is small but has drinks and food, and being able to eat by the pool was very convenient.

The hotel initially gave us a room on the first floor that was too noisy. We booked a 3-person room with an extra single bed, but the next day they gave us a quiet room with 2 large beds on the 3rd floor.

Bed and room were great. did not use the pool. I did not like the covered large pillow on the bed as it looked unsanitary. Pillows with removeable covers would have been better.

Typically empty in the restaurant. But the server was amazing. The food is pretty good, could use a little more seasoning. But not bad for a restaurant in a hotel. And the price was good.

It's menu is fairly standard , but suits the style of the hotel. It has the standbys with a few twists. Moderately priced.

Don't bother. The food is bland, the service is horrid, your order will be inaccurate, and it's all overpriced. Blecch.

While staying at Kings Inn and seeing good reviews my wife and I had to try this.
The reviews were all spot on. Staff very friendly and helpful. Meals were amazing. Huge quantities, deliciously tasty.
Enjoyed so much the first night , we just went back again tonight.

We ordered carne asada fries and green chili plate. We asked guacamole on the side due to the allergy to avocado. The server brought the plate with guacamole on it. The server took the plate back to be remade. I started eating and under a layer of cheese, there was guacamole! All they did was scrape off the guacamole and covered it with more cheese. That's pretty dangerous when we specified that I'm allergic. 2 star because the server was very nice.

Let me start by saying that I live in Arizona and we border Mexico and there is fantastic Mexican food every where, but this place blew my mind. I have never never never never in my life had carne asada tacos so wonderful. This place is amazing and as I sat in the lobby I noticed they had an A rating from the health department which I thought was wonderful. When I got home and my husband and I ate our carne asada tacos I was blown away!!! This place is absolutely phenomenal!! This place has the best Mexican food I have ever experienced in my life. All I can say is wow!!! Thank you for an amazing meal!

Very well in customer service and the Valentine special was very pleasing... The DJ and dancefloor were a plus and overall a very cheery experience. Very retro and feels like I'm back in the 80's. One hell of an experience and food was good to an extent... Great place overall!!!
