Dear Trip.com Customer Service,
I am writing to report a serious issue regarding my recent booking made through your platform and to request a full refund.
The property I booked was advertised using images of a DoubleTree hotel. However, upon arrival, we were assigned a completely different room — a small, apartment-style unit that does not match the listing in any way. This is a clear case of misleading and false advertising.
The room conditions were unacceptable:
• Strong unpleasant odor and poor air quality
• Outdated and extremely noisy air conditioning, making it impossible to sleep
• Very poor soundproofing — hallway conversations were clearly audible inside the room
When we contacted the front desk, we were told that since the booking was made through Trip.com, they could not make any changes or cancellations. This left us with no support onsite.
Despite these conditions, we were charged $258, which is completely unreasonable for a room of such poor quality — not even comparable to a basic motel.
It is evident that this listing used branded DoubleTree images to attract customers while providing a significantly lower-standard accommodation. This is deceptive and unacceptable for a platform like Trip.com.
I am therefore requesting a full refund immediately.
If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will proceed with:
• Filing a chargeback with my credit card company
• Submitting complaints to consumer protection agencies
• Reporting this listing for false advertising
Please treat this matter with urgency and provide a resolution as soon as possible.

Affordable stay with a great location near the airport and with convenient access to major roadways. We were upgraded to the renovated rooms. They were decent and the beds were comfortable. If youd prefer to spend your money exploring San Diego rather than paying more for a room I highly recommend.

Amazing hotel loved the stay. The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating from the shuttle guy, front desk, housekeepers and bartender. Lovely pool spa area and nice gym. Great rooms and location is less than 10 minute drive to airport. Great hotel bar with lots of TVs and good drinks menu. The cookie and water was tasty. No complaints would def stay here again

The room was freezing cold and I put the heater on , but it only got colder. Had to wait for maintenance to come fix it . We wasted time waiting for that . The rooms were dirty, like the bathrooms had pubic hair in it , weren’t even wiped down , so I had to go to the cvs to get cleaning supplies . The heater was so loud I couldn’t hear the tv , and the place smelled moldy and had construction goin on outside by the ice maker . The elevator was delayed . Honestly for the same amount I could have stayed at a more upscale hotel . I went for a weekend with my husband but it gave MOTEL vibes . It’s ok for maybe a quick stop or if you’re not staying in much . But for something where you’re staying in , I’d advise you to choose something else where the rooms and lobby are all indoor .

I guess it depends if you are in the main building or the outer buildings. Was a bit shocked when we had to walk outside to our rooms. Great location and free shuttle to the airport. Shout out to George L (Front office manager) to give me a warm welcome. If you manage your expectations then you won't be disappointed if you get the rooms that is not in the main building.

Had my wedding reception here and it was absolutely perfect. Huge shoutout to Amanda and her team for all their help putting everything together. Amanda was always there to answer any questions I had, and the whole process went so smoothly.

I also stayed in one of the suites for the rest of my wedding trip, and everything was so clean and perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for any event or even just a place to stay!

After a confusing check in, which they fixed the situation, it was nice, quiet, and convenient for what we needed.

The room smelled of sewage from the shower and sink. I messaged them and received no reply. I asked the front desk for water and they said they don’t give out water. We had to buy $4 water at the vending machine. The pool area was so noisy we could sleep. The staff on the other hand was amazing. Pool bathroom with one sink the water didn’t work , the other bathroom the towel did didn’t work. When we had service to the room they didn’t replace towels !! We won’t be staying there again. Not worth the price

Good food. Salads are plentiful as an entree. The hot fudge sundae is delicious and big enough to split with others. Beware if anyone orders a 'double', you will be charged for two drinks. Other than that, wonderful experience and situated in a scenic area directly overlooking the North end of the harbor.

Very friendly staff. We had the red snapper with Creole shrimp. The fish was cooked very well and the shrimp here juicy and flavorful.. Overall a good dish but was a bit greasy for me. My fiancee had the chowder too and really liked it.

Hard to not avoid a crown on weekends. Arrive early with plenty time to wait or make a reservation ahead of time. The hostess team needs some customer service training. The bar and table servers/waiters are excellent! We ordered the mussels and we're accidentally entered as 'meatballs'. Instantly our bartender apologized and in less than 8 minutes we got our mussels. Sadly these smelled fishier than usual. We notified our bartender again and apologized for our complaint. She smiled and gladly said she would take care of it. We ordered the fish and chips and it was delicious! Truly a place that strives to make their patrons satisfied. Thank you!!!

A great place to check out for lunch or dinner... looks like Sunday brunch is a big deal here too... that's not really my thing though. They have a full bar, and the food is really good. Check out the fish and chips, the fried chicken, or one if the burgers. All great. It can get a little loud, so don't come expecting a quite dinner, do expect to have a good time.
