We had a fantastic experience at the Catamaran Resort. The dated rooms will need a facelift to take them to the top tier, but the people were fantastic, and the location puts you right in the middle of the best parts of Mission and Pacific Beach. My wife and I look forward to our next stay at Catamaran and partying on Pacific Beach.

We have stayed at the Catamaran several times. The Pacific Beach area is great, and the catamaran is at the foot of many excellent restaurants and bars. Right next to the beach, and great staff and lovely grounds. The bar and bartenders are awesome.

Beach had a lot of seaweed and rocks so wasn’t as perfect as shown in pictures—- but still pretty. Definitely no swimming this time of year. Staff was excellent and helpful! Shout out Kevin at the bar he was above and beyond

Location was great. Room is getting outdated and worn and sliding glass door didn’t close all the way so rain got in. Otherwise, arcade was fun for kids.

One block from the ocean, convenient to get to. Food in restaurant was good. Location was good. Pool and hot tub were clean and nice. Rooms were clean. It is just an older hotel that's all. All in all, we were happy with our stay.

The rooms are old and dated. The first room we were given had a broken toilet and the balcony door what wouldn't close properly. The "studio" we rented had no utensils, plates or cups. Hotel was good for location. Now about the room. Room was very run down. When Marriott sent message to ask how they can make it better. I told them the room was very run down and smelled moldy or moist. Baseboard was coming off the walls. I was willing to just change room. Since my son and wife have bad allergies. But no response.

Had a wonderful three-day stay at the Gaslamp Marriott in San Diego! The location is perfect—just steps away from Petco Park and surrounded by downtown attractions. The hospitality was excellent, and it was a great escape from the heat of Arizona. Highly recommend this hotel for your next getaway!

The main entrance to the hotel is actually at the back of the property. At the front of the hotel, you have to use your room card to enter. The customer service at the Grant was impeccable, more than one can ask for at what I consider to be an affordable price. I stayed in room 604 which is located right beside the elevator. 24 hours a day you hear the elevator going up & down. I would recommend avoiding room 604 for this reason. The hotel offers a great overall atmosphere, with a private inner bay and easy access to the beach. The environment is lovely, and there are plenty of recreational facilities on the property. That said, the room was a bit small, and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the air conditioning, which was disappointing for a hotel at this level.

Check in process was great. Staff was kind and accommodating. Studio room was very nice with a beautiful view of the bay. The only downfall was we attempted to dine at Dockside and never was greeted by a server so we left after about 10 minutes. Menu was limited as well. Awesome staff, Andre at the front desk was on top of his game. When he found out, it was our anniversary he provided a credit to be used on my dinner at the hotel. Our room was awesome overlooking the bay harbor. I definitely will return there for my next San Diego visit.

Great, fun staff! Enjoyed the pool, bar, and Halloween cruise. Only negative was the smoke alarm low battery started alerting at 6:30AM. They came very quickly and changed it out. I got back to sleep within 15 mins.

Everything was good minus the check-in. Guaranteed check in time is 4pm but delayed 2 hours. However, the staff was apologetic and accommodating and offered a small dining credit for our inconvenience which we appreciated.

Beautiful area and views. Walkable to dining and shopping. Rooms and beds were average. We had ants in our room which we didnt discover until following morning when we had bites, saw a few on the bed, but then found more in bathroom and then a lot in the fridge. They moved us into a different room but it was still inconvenient.

We love this property!! This was our 2nd time staying. We booked for NYE, which although it was raining, we were still able to enjoy the jacuzzi. Check in was smooth, and you can’t beat the location. Still close to the liveliness of downtown, and old town, but quiet enough for a nice getaway. The bay view is gorgeous, and the christmas tree light up from Seaworld was a nice surprise. The house is quite old, poorly soundproofed, and has a musty smell. However, the staff are very friendly. The location is excellent. The view is beautiful.

Great stay! The hotel gives you a $25 credit each day of the stay so you can use it at their rooftop bar or lobby bar/restaurant. This was the best last minute decision I’ve ever made. We drove in for a birthday party and decided to stay the night. The hotel is super clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel is very nice, nicer than I usually stay at. The room was clean and modern. The bed was really comfortable and I loved the light up make up mirror in the bathroom. The Topside Terrace is a very cool outdoor bar. Drinks were good and our server even got us a menu from the other restaurant that had items we enjoyed more. I appreciated that.

Over all the stay was pleasant! Only the 30$ parking fee for one night seems a bit over priced. Most hotels I stayed previously were free parking for their customers.

It was a nice, quiet, clean place to stay. However, it's been two weeks since I returned from my trip, and my deposit has not been refunded yet. I asked for a receipt and they said they would send it to me by email, but I haven't received it either. I'm a little disappointed with their handling.

The location is convenient, the price is right, the service is good, clean and comfortable, and suitable for family travel accommodation.

Our room had a leak from the ceiling during our stay. Staff wasn’t too friendly other than the valet guys. Restaurant was a disaster, food was not fresh and warmed up in the microwave. One side was warm other was cold. Would not stay again.

We arrived earlier than the 4 p.m. check-in time so we could grab lunch before checking in, and we left our luggage and carry-on at the front desk. After check-in, our luggage took 30 minutes to be delivered. The carry-on wasn’t delivered at all, so I had to go to the front desk to claim it. The night front desk person was nice, but the day front desk gentleman wasn’t very courteous.

We booked about a week ago. We have stayed at your hotel several times. I’m really disappointed that you put us in an area of your hotel that you knew had a broken elevator and was broken prior to us booking. The elevator has been out for over a week according to the staff, and with prior knowledge you shouldn’t be using that section of the hotel. At the very least give guests the option of rebooking...

Great Place, great location. Staff was awesome, from front desk to valet! Awesome place ! Would have been 5 star excellent except our room was next to the post office which took truck deliveries all night. So it was tough to get a good night sleep.

Affordable stay with a great location near the airport and with convenient access to major roadways. We were upgraded to the renovated rooms. They were decent and the beds were comfortable. If youd prefer to spend your money exploring San Diego rather than paying more for a room I highly recommend.

The room was freezing cold and I put the heater on , but it only got colder. Had to wait for maintenance to come fix it . We wasted time waiting for that . The rooms were dirty, like the bathrooms had pubic hair in it , weren’t even wiped down , so I had to go to the cvs to get cleaning supplies . I guess it depends if you are in the main building or the outer buildings. Was a bit shocked when we had to walk outside to our rooms. Great location and free shuttle to the airport. Perfect location in the middle of San Diego with easy access to most freeways. Clean room and comfy beds. Nice pool area. Parking is secure but with an extra charge. I stayed for seven nights in total, and the overall experience was decent. However, what was truly unbearable was the overwhelming smell from the bathroom—it smelled like sewage, and you could even smell it from the bed.

Very nice room, with microwave, refrigerator, bar, sofa can put a 1.5 bed very comfortable, can accommodate up to 6 people. Our family of 5 lived very happily. There is a CVS store about 300 meters downstairs and a 7-11 a little further. Girls should not go out alone at night, there are messy people on the street.

Had a fantastic stay for a week conference. Kamal and Josh at valet parking were wonderful to me. I had to leave every day to my conference. They were amazing ensuring I always have my car promptly and be at my meetings on time. The room was very spacious, clean and cute with the whole Margaritavill/Jimmy Buffet theme. The room is quite large, and although the facilities are a bit old, they are basically sufficient. It would be recommended if you are going to a conference center for a meeting, as the location is excellent.

My family and I stayed in a one bedroom suite for the Thanksgiving holidays. My wife and I just spent 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and modern. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant each morning and were blown away by the service provided by Sergio and Victor. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome while attending to our every need. Food was so good we never even considered going anywhere else.
