Excellent location, with a sea view right from the window, and the service was warm and welcoming.

It's in a great location on a leisure and vacation island with hundreds of yachts nearby. The scenery is fantastic, and it's convenient for walking and jogging. However, the room was a bit old and had a slight musty smell, so it needed to be ventilated for a while. Fortunately, there were doors and windows at the front and back, so ventilation was smooth.

It is a 3 star hotel and that’s what you get. The room is adequate but it’s quite bare for what you are paying. Body wash had run out, there was no toothbrush or slippers, lights were quite dim, the fan didn’t work. The room shows its age. Nevertheless, it is in a very scenic location. You’ll need to rent a car to take full advantage

Located at convoy so good for food, has wide parking spaces but might run out on busy days if u return late, pretty good room but doesn’t clean your room until you checkout so keep that in mind, 15-20 minute drive to downtown, overall hotel I would recommend.

For a place to rest your head, it had a little more personality than your average, and the staff were all friendly. For the price, though, I was a little underwhelmed. Awkward mix of lighting temperatures in the room, the bathroom had a barn door, front desk was jammed into a corner of a very loud lobby, and f&b was really disappointing. This hotel is fantastic! I loved everything about it. The finishes are beautiful and modern, the lobby is chill and inviting, the rooms are well appointed and up to date. Very nice cafe and bar in the lobby. Rooftop pool and deck area is lovely and large. So spacious. I will definitely prefer this hotel every time I'm back in San Diego.

Very friendly staff! We enjoyed our room and view. Modern, clean, and great service. Only caveats - slippery floor, rolling down blinds takes long, limited streaming ability, no shower door. Small things though. Overall great experience!

The hotel next door attracts a seedy crowd and there are many vagrants hanging around. However, once you got to main road the area was fine and very close to everything. The guest services were not my issue. But the bathroom floor was not very clean, and the bed sizes are a joke. Brittany and Stephanie were great though. They were polite and were doing the best to provide our accommodations. This hotel's idea of a king size bed is actually a queen, and their queen is actually a full size bed - Just so you know what you're getting. We don't see ourselves staying here...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was a very nice hotel. Good amenities and it all felt very nice. But the trouble was the location. It’s in a very ghetto area, with several strip clubs not even a block away and most of the room’s view could be taken up by ads for weed stores. We stayed a week and enjoyed our stay. The location is a bit shady and paying for parking is something I've never heard of before so I gave it a 4 star. It is central to everything we wanted to see and do so that was a great for us.

I love classic, iconic hotels. La Valencia is not one of them. The front desk staff was unfriendly and inhospitable. Pillows are hard and lumpy. It felt very dated and lacked the charm I was hoping to find. There is so much potential here and I hope they invest in a renovation soon. The concierge and valet were professional and personable. Not many options in La Jolla but not worth the $$$.

When we travel to San Diego, we always stay on Shelter Island because we like the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean & updated , very pricey for what it is. Basically a hotel room with pool access in a nice area. Not with the price in my opinion. We had a good deal we thought but after the additional cost of parking and resort fees we won’t be back.

Location is decent just on the edge of Little Italy, quite quiet and easy access to the harbourfront. Pool is small and completely surrounded by other buildings and the roof top was cold in the evening even in early September. Forgetting to clean the room one day was annoying. Lobby bar was ok early evening but is closed by 8 it seems. Bed had definitely seen better days. 4 stars is a stretch imho

Very good, but pay attention to whether there is a refund for the deposit. We later found that two extra city taxes were collected, but we contacted Ctrip staff and they handled it quickly! Still give it a good review!

Located in the city center, Hilton's standard is impeccable. There is a parking lot opposite the hotel, but you need to go around to park because it is a one-way road. It is not recommended to choose a package with breakfast, which is a cash deduction.

I stayed at this hotel because of its low price, and I thought it was a good value for money. It's a bit of a walk from the nearest bus stop, but the front desk staff were very helpful, and it's located in Little Italy, so it's safe to get around.

Overall, a decent stay especially since i was only here 1 day because I came to watch Rosalia in concert. The staff was super nice and friendly, but what was off putting was coming to the room and not having any channel access. It was strange and I didn't flag it since I really came just to sleep after the concert and then head home.

My stay at Courtyard by Marriott San Diego was overall pleasant, largely due to the accommodating and friendly staff. We initially requested a room change due to a cracked window and an unusual odor in the original room. The front desk handled the request promptly and without issue, and the new room was much more comfortable. The rest of our stay was smooth and enjoyable.

Hotel room had a decent sized TV. Two queen bedroom was the one we got. The room is spacious and there's good amenities like the pool. I liked the light up mirror in the bathroom and the giant mirror in the room if you are getting ready for an event. The shower was not high pressure but it was okay. Just a normal standard shower pressure I would say.

Had a nice stay overall. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The location is very convenient, with easy access from the Old Town transit station, so there was no need to rent a car to get around. The hotel itself is a bit older, but it was comfortable and well maintained. A solid choice if you want a practical base with great transit access.

Stayed in a non ocean view room but still ended up being able to see the ocean from our balcony. Room was told to be newly renovated which was nice. Everything looked new except for the bathtub/shower. Location can’t be beat and while it was too chilly to use the pool we still enjoyed sunsets from the pool area which was lovely.

The hotel has a very convenient location, close to many attractions and beach. However, the soundproofing is really poor. You can clearly hear footsteps and noise from the room above, which made it hard to relax and get a good night’s sleep. The stay would have been much more pleasant if the rooms were better insulated against noise. Overall, good location but would not recommend for light sleepers

This is a very old hotel, more like a motel. Our room had direct access to the public parking lot downstairs, which made us feel unsafe. If you have luggage, I wouldn't recommend booking here; you'll have to drag your suitcase outside for a long time to get to the elevator. The breakfast was pretty good.

I stayed in The Horton Grand for six nights from 8/16 till 8/22 in 2024. Unbelievably, my room (#321) did not have a refrigerator, although two staff members at the front desk (reception) claimed that every room had one. I remember several years ago before the pandemic my room did have a microwave oven and a refrigerator when I stayed in the same hotel.

During my trip to San Diego, I booked a hotel in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter (established in 1913) on Ctrip. The old elevator is quite unique. The rooms aren't big, but the cleanliness and amenities are okay, and it's not noisy. We stayed on the 11th floor, the highest floor, and the rooftop terrace offers a great view of the city!

Products for cleaning swimming pool were way too strong because it made foam when swimming and the eyes got red after only 10 minutes inside.
