Hotel Amari in San Francisco

Old outdated accommodations. Bathroom window leaked cold air like a wind tunnel. The only solution offered was an extra towel to stuff at bottom of window. Guest service not a priority. Can't figure out why AAA gave a 2 star rating.

Like others have mention this is an old hotel but it lacks the charm. The first room I stayed in was next to the elevator and boy was it loud. I had to switch rooms and the second room was on the first floor and away from the elevator however it was right down the bar/restaurant so at night time I had no trouble hearing people drinking and talking. The bed was uncomfortable and not just the mattress but also the blanket and bed sheets. The bathroom light will flicker like something out of a silent hill game for couple seconds when turn on and the water temperature out of the shower was inconsistent. This place is fine if you're staying for the night but anything longer than that I would look for somewhere else. The only reason im not giving it one star is because the front desk people were nice and friendly.

This is my first time in San Francisco, and I stayed here because of the positive reviews. As soon as I pulled up, the valet was no where to be found, the bell hop was very rude, gave him our luggage and started complaining about the 2 bags my husband and I had, we could’ve easily took them up ourselves but he insisted. They don’t offer free parking, so if you’re looking for that, go elsewhere. The front desk was not pleasant and warming, when I asked if we can get our car in a couple hours they said, well we can leave it outside for you but if we need to move it we can’t guara when it will be back. Hmmmm I’m paying $35+ dollars PLUS TAX, so I can’t have my car when I need it?? So far I am anything but pleased with the service and this is my first day here.
