Lovely stay, easy check in, the hotel gave us an option to check in early for a small fee. Super clean and very spacious. Our view was phenomenal, and considering the large windows there was barely any noise from the outside. The hotel graciously provided two sets of ear plugs regardless but we didn’t need them at all. The beds and pillows were also very very comfortable. Had some reservations about it being a self check in kind of hotel, but the response time over the phone is very quick and there was always a manager around. The location is perfect. 100% would stay here again.

Good afternoon,

My wife, Claudia Domínguez, made a reservation at the Hotel Flatiron in New York for the dates 27 November to 1 December 2025, paying a total amount of €966 on 25 January 2025.

A few weeks ago, we were informed that the reservation had been unilaterally cancelled by your side. However, to date, we have not received any refund of the amount paid.

As this is a significant amount of money for us, we kindly request your urgent assistance in managing and resolving this refund. We attach the documentation as proof of payment.

We look forward to your prompt response.

I do not recommend this hotel. I booked a room with a king bed, but was given a queen bed instead. I made multiple attempts to speak with a staff member in person, but every time I went to the lobby, no one was available — I was told they were on break. I finally reached someone through the hotel’s messaging app, and they confirmed that while I had indeed booked a king room, none were available, so they placed me in a queen room instead. Despite this, I was still charged for the king room, and the hotel made no effort to correct the issue or even follow up with me by phone or in person. In the end, I was so disappointed by the lack of service and accountability that I left and stayed at another hotel that night.

This shouldn’t be considered a 4 star hotel. The walls are paper thin, the bathroom was TINY, the curtains don’t keep light out of the room at night, and there isn’t 24/7 front desk service. You can hear everything from the person next to you and street noise. There are no hotel keys; you have to use a passcode for the elevator and for your door. The most positive thing about this hotel is the central, safe location. The room itself was a large room for NYC other than the small bathrooms.

Very central location, with great area vibe! The room was spacious, super clean over the 7 days we stayed, "bravo" and thank you to housekeeping. All staff super friendly and helpful with recommendations. The room had a kitchenette, microwave, fridge (all new appliances). Look forward to staying at Sonder when we are in NYC next time!

Just stopped in for some directions but they very hospitable and helped us to the best of their ability

it's a keeper
Loved the location. Loved the staff. Loved the breakfast. Loved the happy hour menu.

Room temperature was just right and bed was comfortable.

Bathroom is a little cramped - wish it had a pocket door to reclaim floor space. Entertainment volume is much to loud for the space.

Hot water was out. Staff was great about it. Gets the job done if you're not spending a lot of time at the hotel. I would not make this your first choice hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Flatiron Hotel in room 705 to celebrate our one year anniversary on Sunday 1/28 into Monday 1/29.

Upon entering, our room was oppressively hot. We immediately opened windows, but we could only slightly crack them open, making no difference in the temperature. We found the thermostat, which read 76 degrees, even though the heat was set to 68. We lowered the thermostat even further to 62, and nothing happened. I changed the thermostat over from heat to cooling, and set the A/C to 62, just to get the room cold as quick as possible, but the vent over the dresser was still blowing scalding hot air. We went to call the front desk but nothing happened, so I went down to the front desk and they said they would send somebody up to help. Someone came, but he didn’t seem to speak English very well. He at first tried to raise the temperature to make the room hotter. After fussing around with it exactly the way I had, he put it back to the same setting I had already had it on, and then stood in the doorway, presumably waiting for a tip. After he left I walked back over and noticed that the thermostat was off now. I turned it back on to cool at 62, and then noticed the temperature had risen from 76 to 78, which was peculiar because it was less than 40 degrees outside. I checked the vent and it was blowing air so hot that the vent was burning hot to the touch. I put the thermostat on to fan mode and left it for the night. We both slept very poorly and by the time we got up in the morning the thermostat had climbed to 80.

Everything was hi-tech but useless; there was a remote for the blinds that only closed the far blinds and not the one next to the bed. There was a TV in the mirror but it wasn’t hooked up to anything. There was a button for “MOVIES” on the regular TV, but hitting that button just took me to on-demand cable TV shows. There was a phone in the room and in the bathroom with a button to call the front desk, but I hit that button and nothing happened.

The staff was nice but incompetent. We had only gotten the room because I had misread that every room came with a jacuzzi tub (admittedly my fault) and that there was live music in the lounge, but we were thoroughly disappointed by the entire experience at this “luxury hotel”— frustratingly and tedious at worst and unrefreshing at best.

To top it all off we found the hotel on the Hotel Tonight app, and we got charged for the room twice, once on the app and once by the hotel. Avoid the app, avoid the hotel, they are both poison and anything good you’ve read about either was a lie.

Location is good, the hotel amenities are adequate. The staff are nice, and the cafe on the ground floor is good. However, it's not as good as it was. It's under new management, and they closed the rooftop bar. We reserved a room with 2 beds and they gave us a room with 1. So when we got that straightened out, the room they gave us still had the housekeeping staff in it - and they left without putting up a new shower curtain. So we had to call down about that. The carpet in the room had a couple very noticeable, large stains. I couldn't help but wonder how well the room had been cleaned, even ifthose were older.

Went for the first time NYE. The space is gorgeous and service is awesome.
My only complaints are having guests who already paid and bought booths and stadium seats waiting outside in 10 degree weather that felt like -5 degrees for no damn reason. If the space is already paid for VIP should just walk in.
Also, there were technical difficulties with the sound towards the end of the night.
Prevent these two things from happening and you'll have 5 stars.

This place is gorgeous, beautiful, elegant, classy, refined, and still hip - accented with black and gold. The fact that it's still opened speaks volumes (as most places opened by entertainment people typically don't turn out so well).

As a club, it's not the best for dancing. There isn't really a dancefloor. There's a wrap around bar area, restaurant seating along the wall, "tiered" sofa seating with low tables for eating or drinking (think of long bleachers with nice leather sofa seating overlooking the bar area), and also "lounge/VIP" rooms open to anyone who wants to play pool, watch a sports game on a flat screen, or sit on the huge, comfy sofas to chat.

The downstairs lower level has singular bathrooms (one toilet each) that are unisex. Once I went and there was a main bathroom that was unisex with everyone going in there, which can be a bit unnerving to women. All the bathrooms or stall doors have blurred glass, so you get some privacy but not compete 100% of it haha (not the boom boom room).

I've had the best time when I've come here to eat, and well to have a few drinks and chat.

While Hip Hop music is played, it's not a spot where people misbehave (I have not heard of a fight breaking out here, as I've experienced at another Hip Hop lounge). I would definitely recommend this place for the early dinner and chill vibe during that time.

Hanging out with friends and family was great because we had a private room. Also, the pool table gave us a way to have something other than drinking to do. Prices are moderate and the crab sliders are awesome. Would go back in the future.

Sophisticated and classy, but bring a fat wallet. Ballers and models will feel right at home - not so much anyone else trying to turn up on a budget. Private players lounge is spacious, well appointed and your private concierge does her best to make sure you and your guests have anything you want. Oh yeah, and the food is absolutely amazing!

Horrible experience. We paid lots of money and everything was wrong. The service was so bad we had a short waiter he was young he forgot everything or seems very rude he knocked my napkin out my hand and saw and did not help me. We order bottle champagne with oysters not enough cups for us all and oyster came after our main course and they had Mexican hot sauce and not tobasico. The only helpful one was a Jamaican bus lady who was very kind and went out of her way to help us. I will never come here again ugh

My friends got sick after having oysters. The oysters had a weird taste. The staff isn't friendly and does not look happy. Good location and idea though. Could be much better.

Great vibe! I was there last week with a group of friends and had a wonderful time. Drinks were great (the Mojito was my favorite!), food was tasty (I had the squid ink homemade pasta with tomato sauce and it was delicious!) and the music was on point. Our server was very friendly. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Really fun place!

Great service, stellar oysters. Came here for drinks and oysters on my birthday one year and was quite pleased. There's so much to see in the decor, too.

The worst lobster roll I have ever had!! So disappointing!! Sat at the oyster bar for about ten minutes and was not asked by any staff members if I would like any food or drink. Once I managed to corral someone and get my order in I was greatly disappointed. Oysters were fresh and tasty. However, the $29 lobster roll by FAR the worst I've ever had. The lobster meat is smothered in watery mayonnaise and WAY too much vinegar and celery. It was unbearable, really. I think you can get a better lobster roll at McDonald's. This place has a solid reputation and was pretty busy on a Saturday night when I was there but they really need to step up their game. Do something about the JDOB Lobster Roll -- really it's quite a mistake to put the business's name in front of something that tastes like trash.

"This is the Manzo restaurant located inside Eataly. The ambiance is nice and romantic. It's great for a date or a night out with friends. The room is very dimly lit. We were greeted promptly by the waitstaff and were promptly seated.

Service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and answered a lot of my questions about Italian food.

We ordered some appetizers and separate entrees. One dish we had was thinly sliced beef with arugula and cheese. The combination was quite delicious. There was a faint sauce (or perhaps just salt) on the whole dish and I liked the taste of it very much.

For my entree, I took a gamble on this paparadelle pasta with mushroom and butter sauce. I hate mushrooms and thought these specially foraged trumpet mushrooms would change my view on mushrooms. Sadly, it didn't, but the rest of the dish was very good. The noodles tasted fresh and were oh so thin. The butter sauce was very flavorful and salted perfectly. I just left behind this pile of black mushrooms on my plate, but I ate everything else.

We got dessert and loved it. I got the chocolato to share with a dear friend and it was on point. The chocolate ganache cake was really dense. It paired well with the hazelnut ice cream.

The bread and olive oil were really delicious as well. Once you have high quality olive oil, it's really difficult to go back to the low grade oil. I kept on wanting to eat this bread and oil combination."

Ordered a pasta dish with white truffle shavings on the side ($50 extra). Truffle was meant to be shaved tableside as you would expect from this kind of establishment and as specified on the menu. When the dish arrived the truffle had already been shaved on the dish and didn't look fresh or smell of much. The pasta dish was also mediocre at best but that's another matter. When the manager came over he simply offered a half-arsed apology. Avoid, there's so many better places to eat in NYC in much better surroundings and with much better service.
18.09.2017 Nafez
Great food and good portions. Location is a bit hard to find as you have to go inside Eataly.
08.09.2017 Amanda
What an amazing place to stop at while visiting New York! The staff was so kind, outgoing and polite. Gave great recommendations on wine, seafood and the bread with oil is TO DIE FOR! YUM! We had a bottle of the red Sangiovese, I recommend it 100%!!
14.01.2017 Thiago
The food is really good, but a bit pricey if you consider that you should go for the full course meal to be satisfied. However, this is NYC, so you shouldn't expect less. The service is really great and all the food we has tasted really good.
