Hampton Inn Manhattan/Downtown-Financial District in New York

The room heater is extremely noisy, almost like a tractor, which is quite disturbing. This is not what one would expect from a Hilton hotel in Manhattan. Additionally, not even providing a bottle of water in the room is a significant shortcoming. I kindly request that these issues be addressed accordingly.

My stay at the Hampton Inn Manhattan/Downtown-Financial District was extremely unsatisfactory, marked by serious failures in comfort, hygiene, and safety, totally incompatible with the expected standard of the Hampton by Hilton brand, especially considering the price paid, above R$ 1,300.00 per night.
Before the trip, I contacted Trip several times to confirm that the room would accommodate two adults and a child, as stated in the reservation. I was informed that there would be no problem and that a suitable bed would be provided for my son. This simply did not happen.
Upon arriving at the hotel, we were placed in an extremely small room, located in the hotel's attic, in a clearly improvised space. The room was so small that there was no physical space for any additional bed, which demonstrates that it should never have been sold to three people. Even so, the staff suggested that my son sleep in the same Queen bed with me and my wife, something absolutely unacceptable.
After much insistence, we were transferred to a larger room. However, this second room was also located in the attic, in an area not directly served by the elevators, requiring the use of two different elevators, which reinforces the feeling of improvisation.
Despite appearing to have undergone some kind of retrofit, the basic structure of the place is old, especially the electrical system. One of the outlets showed clear signs of overload, with abnormal heating and degradation of the plastic, which conveys insecurity and risk, something unacceptable in any hotel, even more so in a chain like Hilton.
Even in this larger room, the conditions remained very poor:
Torn/holey sheets with a strong and persistent odor;
Towels with a bad smell;
Constant feeling of lack of cleanliness, including on surfaces and frequently used items;
Obvious negligence in the housekeeping service;
An environment that did not convey comfort, hygiene or safety, which makes the stay even more unpleasant when traveling with a child.
On some days, the room was not even cleaned.
Breakfast was another major problem: little variety, disorganization and lack of replenishment. On at least one day, it was not possible to have breakfast at the hotel due to overcrowding and a complete lack of space control.
Early check-in was also charged, but the service was not provided. We had to leave the initial room and wait for another one to become available, leaving us without a shower, rest, or organization, even after payment.
The only positive point of the hotel is the location. Everything else was frustrating and inconsistent with the price charged or the Hilton brand standard. The photos clearly show that the conditions found do not reflect what is expected from the chain.
I do not recommend it and sincerely hope that Hilton reassesses the management and conditions of this unit, as experiences like this seriously damage the brand's image.
