Stayed for 8 days during the Chinese New Year, and overall, the experience was smooth and practical. As a base for travel, it's a reliable and hassle-free choice.
The hotel's location is indeed excellent, with a safe surrounding area. It's within walking distance to the subway station, making getting around very convenient. It's also close to the UN headquarters, which is handy whether you're there for business or exploring the vicinity.
The breakfast offers a good variety, satisfying daily dining needs, and was quite enjoyable.
Additionally, the hotel's front desk provides three types of complimentary drinking water, a practical detail that means you don't need to buy water daily, which is very convenient.
Overall, there were no significant downsides. The 8-day stay was solid and stable. If you prioritize location, safety, and basic conveniences, this is a suitable choice.

Good stay. One of the things I enjoyed was the complimentary wash for the gym clothes. I run everyday and this is an absolute treat!

It was really good - great value for money. However I must say that the rooms are quite small. We were 3 in a room with two queen size beds and there was barely enough space to open our suitcases let alone unpack our bags. But overall I would go there again. Unfortunately, by booking over third party websites stays are not eligible to credit them to your IHG loyalty account - which might be good to know.

🗽✨ My stay at the EVEN Hotel New York - Midtown East by IHG was, on the whole, really satisfying.
The biggest advantage was definitely the location 👍. Being right in the heart of Midtown East, it was incredibly convenient for using the subway and bus, making it the optimal spot for getting to major Manhattan attractions. I had a packed travel schedule, and having almost no stress about getting around really helped me manage my energy 🚶♂️🚇.
Even though the hotel shows its age a bit, the room condition was surprisingly clean ✨. The bedding was spotless, and I was impressed by how well-maintained the bathroom and general tidiness of the room were. Noise wasn't an issue, so I could rest comfortably at night. Overall, it strongly felt like a practical yet stable place to stay.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who prioritizes location, cleanliness, and comfort over luxury 😊. If I come back to New York, I would definitely consider staying here again.

The room was good, however occassionally there was second hand smoke smell in the room which came from somewhere else in the hotel, which ruined the stay a bit.

New York is still too expensive; even a quick bite outside the hotel costs dozens of dollars. The hotel's location is super convenient, just a short walk to Broadway and Times Square. New York's night views are indeed stunning, and the various big chimneys on the streets are quite impressive. I'd definitely consider staying at this hotel again next time.

We stayed for a week for our trip in NYC. The rooms are adequately sized for 2 large luggages. The hotel is located in a quieter location compared to Times Square and less than 10 minutes walk from grand central station. Would definitely consider staying here again.

The hotel was very clean and had character. It's also conveniently located near Grand Central Station, making transportation easy, and the service was quite good. Plus, it's within walking distance of Rockefeller Center, the New York Public Library, and St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Excellent location! The UN, Times Square, and Empire State Building are all within easy walking distance. For Manhattan, the room size was quite generous, easily accommodating two large suitcases. The dining area is compact but impeccably clean and well-maintained. Breakfast selection is limited, but everything is beautifully prepared and delicious. They also have an outdoor terrace with comfortable sofas, perfect for enjoying the warm Manhattan sun. There's a car rental agency directly across the street, which also doubles as a Zuzuche pick-up point – a massive convenience!

Who's have thought this place would turn into a club at 11pm on a Friday. Stopped in for a quick drink on a Friday night after walking back from a show to our nearby hotel and the place was packed. We were hoping for a quiet place to have a nightcap... This definitely was not it.
The bartenders were nice enough. Eventually they brought around tube shots. That was the only table service we got though. I'm assuming their kitchen must close around 10pm.

Nice old fashion Irish bar with a nice menu. Appetizers ,dinner or just drinks along with plenty of televisions to view your favorite team. Nice staff, restaurant and restrooms very clean. Music by the bar is not to loud crowd nice. Plenty of happy hour specials. They have some burgers of gigantic proportions, try the one in between a grilled cheese sandwich. I did not have it but soon Will. Great appetizers

This is the best place in town on game days if you are a Buffalo Bills fan. They have drink specials and the game on all the screens.

Went for a Michigan game. Had fun. Amazing steak. But then one of the bouncers (not the great big guy; the shorter one) was a complete jerk after I came out. A real bully. Won't come here again.
