Though the room was ok, the dinner downstairs was SO noisy that we couldn’t hear our family across the table! Even though we went to another floor to have a nightcap, it was even more noisy!

We checked out after the first night and moved to another hotel!

Felt like a four star hotel, definitely not 5 star. The rooms were very small and basic, the staff had no idea what was going on and then lobby / restaurants were dirty, and disorganised.

First time staying and was a perfect experience! Right downtown, near a lot of restaurants and bars. Very cool laid back modern hotel. Fantastic service and great places in hotel for dinner and drinks!

Amazing Austin weekend!
Amazing hotel and incredible staff & service! The Peacock restaurant and La Piscina restaurant were delicious. The bar is lively and fun. Can’t wait to return!

Fancy ambient, pricey BBQ and portions are smaller than the average restaurant. We sat down and I ordered a "one meat and two sides." The meal tasted as expected from a restaurant in any major city in Texas with a 4 star rating. Perfectly made brisket and I believe the sauce and mustard are home made. Kudos.

BUT....

The portions seemed more for post-pregnant mothers on a diet . You wouldn't be able to handle a hormone raged teenager or the average Texan for that matter.

Excellent moist brisket that rivals some of the best in Austin but for twice the price hence I can't give it five stars. $19 for a half-pound of brisket is insane when you can get a pound of the best brisket in Texas for the same price. The steak was also exceptional although I can't decide if putting sugar on a steak is blasphemy or genius. Mac & cheese was delicious. Broccoli was good but the jalapeno on it was really odd. I'll go back to Lambert's but will go knowing I'm paying for the upscale BBQ experience.

Friendly host. Clean restaurant. Cool decor. Knowledgeable bartender. Banging grub. Superb and complex flavors and aromas. This place is always a pleasure to visit. Real cuisine. One of the best restaurants in Austin.

Great fries, good burgers. But one of my friends ordered the 2 meat plate. They must take their 2 meat literally. He got brisket and another item, and it came with 2 slices of brisket and one of that other item. For spending $$$ and only getting a couple pieces of meat is pretty ridiculous.

I probably won't go back.

This rating is based on a single thing: their Hangar Steak entree. Arguably the best cut of steak I've ever had.

Had fully intended on going with the Brisket here but literally seconds before ordering I was informed by another in my party that we'd be having Blacks for lunch the next day, so my Texas brisket fix was already allocated for. Flipped to the Hangar steak on a whim and was the best decision of the evening.

Further evidence of 5 stars for also having bottles of one my favorite craft beers anywhere: Lone Pint's Yellow Rose.
