Staying at Commodore Perry Estate was a fabulous experience from beginning to end. The attention is truly personalized—every member of the staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay special. The property itself is phenomenal, beautifully designed, and incredibly relaxing.

One of the highlights is that they are pet-friendly, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The amenities are excellent: the gym is well-equipped, the Mansion offers delicious breakfasts and lunches, and the gardens are absolutely beautiful.

Honestly, words fall short in describing how special it was to be there and to be treated with such exceptional service. I can’t wait to return.

This has been one of the most comfortable places I have ever stayed. I am a frequent traveler, and this is truly one of the places where we have received the best service and attention.

The rooms are extremely comfortable, the service is very personalized, and the staff makes you feel genuinely cared for. The food is incredible, and the facilities are spotless and impeccably maintained.

I can honestly say this experience exceeded our expectations. I 100% recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again.

I stayed at this property in February 2025 as a solo traveler. At $1200+++ per night, the experience did not meet expectations. There was no luggage assistance and no welcoming check-in; the front desk appeared indifferent. The valet staff were the only consistently courteous employees and I did not have a car. Check-out was handled well, and transportation to the airport was arranged promptly.
The bathroom lighting was so poor that it was difficult to assess cleanliness. The most concerning issue was food and beverage service. I ordered room service for most of my stay. Food was delivered covered only once; otherwise, it traveled uncovered through public areas and across an exterior path before reaching my room, often arriving cold. I became ill on the morning of my departure.
After returning home, I was hospitalized for seven days, underwent surgery, pumped full of IV antibiotics and was diagnosed with an E. coli infection. While I cannot say with certainty that the illness originated at the hotel, I dined exclusively on-site, left the property only once, and did not use restrooms elsewhere.
I documented these concerns on the hotel’s post-stay survey and received no response from management. Given the price point and experience, BUYER BEWARE. I have no qualms paying for a 5 or 6 star experience, if that is what you receive.

Loved our stay at the Commodore Perry Hotel. Everything about it was great..room, food, service, amenities. Could not have asked for a better experience..from start to finish. Highly recommend it. The front desk support was beyond superb! Special shout out to Iris, Lily, Harrah and Amanda. Sam made all our transportation needs a breeze..and Jessica at the mansion club could not have been more gracious and accommodating. Wish I could spend my whole life at the Commodore! What every hotel stay should aspire to be!!!!

A True Austin Gem
This is an excellent property in all the ways that matter. I stayed here as part of a group trip and found the food, service, facilities, and attention to detail to be in a class all its own. Every corner of the Commodore Perry feels intentional...from the beautifully maintained grounds to the thoughtful design touches in the rooms.

The staff struck the perfect balance of warmth and professionalism, anticipating needs without ever being intrusive. Meals were outstanding, especially breakfast at the mansion. The setting feels peaceful and distinctly Austin, refined but relaxed.

If you appreciate understated luxury (and are willing to pay for it), genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere that invites you to slow down and enjoy, this is the place.

*The only thing for the future is that they might consider adding golf, tennis, or spa on location.

So here is the deal…I stayed at the property the night before the hotel was being bought out to host a corporate event. The staffs’ attention was noticeably split between setting up for the big event and attending to the current guests. The hotel bar was also closed through my stay as it was being completely redecorated for the event. You can’t claim to be a five star hotel and not have a bar.

The property is absolutely gorgeous. It is located a good 15-20 mins north of downtown.

In my opinion this is a great hotel for corporate events and for couples looking for a stay-cation where you are not looking to leave the property.

Beautiful urban oasis, great restaurant and nice pool. But nothing walkable nearby so really one stays on property. Also, this is more a leisure hotel than business hotel (eg, no desk in the room). Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful grounds

This was an over the top experience from the minute we arrived the parking was as simple as parking should ever be! Check in was superb, and we were walked to our room. After we dined in the Mansion and the food was amazing and the service was exquisite, thank you MJ!

I have been coming go this location for years, but lately the quality of food has improved. If you are looking for a hot home cooked meal I suggest the pasta primo! Or an on the go meal the California club with the fruit side is amazing! The cream to dip your fruit is like my crack so deliciously addicting! The salad bar and ice cream machine are a cool plus!

The staff at this location are always incredibly nice and helpful. I've eaten here many times and have been consistently satisfied with the awesome food and speedy service. Free soft serve ice cream doesn't hurt either!

My wife and I love going to Jason's Deli actually in any of their locations. They have always been clean, courteous , and attentive to our needs. The most important thing to me is the product itself. The best salads and sandwiches along with soups in town. Always fresh and great tasting. I guess I've been fortunate and have never run into an unruly staff since they are always working when I've been there.I wish they would get one in Bastrop.

Building is pretty small, so seating is limited. Very clean building and bathrooms. Staff is super nice and helpful. Huge portion sizes for the low price. Quality food super fast. Love the atmosphere. I do not recommend wheel chairs or strollers.

I love local business and try to support them whenever I can. But even after years of comparisons, the quality at Freebirds just doesn't measure up to that of Chipotle. Chipotle's ingredients taste better, they are cheaper, and their service is much faster. On top of that, their quantities are even larger (I've done some weight comparisons). Over the last year, they've also changed to a rectangular bowl, instead of their original round bowl, and it now holds even less food. Given these facts, Freebirds just doesn't make sense. However, this Freebirds is nicely located next to the HEB so I do come here sometimes before getting groceries.
