The room was in need of many repairs several things were not working in the suite we stayed in. The heat and a/c the spa tub all needed a main person to fix . No pool but ********** did not say it had been drained . The food was ok eggs from a container, ok sausage and bacon , and the fruit was all out of season and most over ripe . So it was not good at all . And one option for yogurt . Kinda weak for 20 something dollars each . The cookies are great thought . You get those when u come in . The view was amazing and the staff were some of the best people I’ve meet in San Antonio and I live here . All in all I expected the full service open the door for you welcome u clean nice working room and all the amenities advertised. That was not what we got at all . I’d go again if they had a lot of repairs done to the rooms. I have plenty of pics of the actual if everything if needed . Don’t book through ********** !!!! That’s the facts .found that out the hard way . And the additional fee per person to ensure u get what ur paying for is a total scam . I was told it doesn’t cover that . Good luck guys . Book three Hilton the staff will be able to make it right .

The staff at the front desk was friendly. As was the staff that does maintenance and housekeeping. The Bar on the hand, the bartender was SUPER rude and dismissive. The room was small, but clean. Comfortable shower. The AC was not working, maintenance went in to “fix it” on the first night and it was cooling a bit, but by the early morning it was once again hot. That evening when we returned at about 10pm, we had to call the front desk again about having the AC fixed, they ended up moving us to a different room. Overall, it was an ok experience, nothing exceptional to say about it. The best part was that it was right next to the Alamo.

This hotel is in poor repair. Our room was less than clean. No one has been vacuuming under the curtains because a pill box was found in my moms room and debris in ours. The mirror and light sconces in our bathroom were extremely crooked and there was toilet paper fragments on the wall. Other places in the halls and interior need new coats of paint and hotel ran out of hot water by 11pm.

Room was not ready. We had to wait for a while to get our room. The staff was trying to accommodate us. We just needed a room to sleep.

The room was very comfortable. It was cleaned everyday. The staff was great and checked on how we were doing. It was very convenient to the alamo and the river walk.. i am glad they kept my care in a gated lot for safety purposes

Staff greeted us with warm cookies. Our room wasn't ready and they upgraded us to one that was and was larger than ours. Valet guy was super nice. Hotel is clean, very charming. Loved the feel of it

My experience was fine with no issues. Helpful staff, great environment, no issues with food; no reason to rate any less than 5 stars. Came here for a family birthday celebration and it was a good time. They do sing their fun form of Happy Birthday and do get the celebrant involved. Yes it is pricey and food may not be spectacular but you come for the occasion and environment and you realize it all actually was as good as it needed to be to make it worth your while.

Expensive horrible food. $17.99 for a shrimp Caesar salad is fine if the portion matches the price. My salad had no taste, it was the size you pay for a $8 salad max. I don’t mind paying for expensive food if the quality is there. We’ve been to this restaurant all over USA and always been happy until San Antonio. We will not return and this location was nearly empty which was shocking until we left then understood why nobody is eating there. Never again and sadly we can’t redo our sons birthday so this was not a happy birthday for this family.

Everything about our visit was fantastic. Food was delicious and generously portioned, drinks were great, and the table service (Tony?) was super friendly and attentive. I've been to other locations in the past and the food was just ok, not really justifying the price. Everything this time though was on a whole different level. Really looking forward to bringing my one year-old back, she had a blast.

If you don't want to wait make reservations we made reservations for 9 pm on a Friday night got there at 8:45 and got seated by 8:50 we waited about 10 min for the waiter to come and get our drinks which was understandable he had two other big tables. Will was very polite and knew his stuff he was even nice enough to take a couple of pictures of me and my girlfriend. The food was a bit pricy but the draft beer and mixed drinks we ordered were fair. The food was good and had good flavor definitely a great experience do not come here if your super hungry and ready for a fast meal. There is plenty to enjoy while you wait on food and drinks. Overall a great first experience for me and will definitely be coming back. Thank you again Will for such great service

Amazing place to eat and visit. I had overall a great experience. We were a group of 6 friends and the waiter took very good care of us. We didn’t have a reservation but still we were quickly seated. The waiter asked us if we wanted separate checks or a single one, we chose separate, which is convenient when you go with friends.
Food was really good and tasty, plenty of food on each plate, you could share if you want. Kids are going to love the animals. Pandas, tigers, snakes etc. And they all move. A fun experience you don’t want to miss.

We got there on a Saturday night at 9pm and were seated right away. Second level seating was nice and even though it was cold outside the heaters made for a warm experience. The waitress was very helpful with the order and made it so we didn't even have to look at the menu. Food was delicious and quick. Great atmosphere and inclusive with the riverwalk. We enjoyed it and will return.

I can't believe this place have so many bad reviews. Place was super busy but our food came out fast and server handle everything so good. Appetizer was large size and my steak was perfect. Drinks was amazing, strawberry mojito highly recommended.

November 2017 - Beautiful night on the river walk. We found this place because we wanted a reasonably priced steak, sit outside, and be away from the rest river walk ground level people. They had great outdoor seating, but it can be a bit tight in between the table. On our party of 4, there was a mess up with one of our drinks, and 3 mistakes on our food order, all of which they recognized and adjusted the bill for. Limited draft beer selection, but had an extensive bar menu. The drinks I felt were over priced (but it is the riverwalk), but the food was a great price (for a steak on the river walk).
I am torn between recommending this place...I feel like there are much better places to eat on the river walk, but your probably wont be able to find as fair of a price as the steaks there.

Our family was in town visiting and tried this place. Oct 2017 and it was amazing. I had meat loaf which was fabulous. The green beans were so good I finished them first. One of us had steak and the other chicken and sausage plate. Omg, it was so good! Then we ate pecan pie and peach cobbler. Both were amazing. Service was good too. We will go back for sure.

We took a Sefway tour earlier in the day and our guide told us about their 4.99 all you can eat daily lunch special. Today (Monday) is Chicken Fingers so we ordered then. They came with mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy or your favorite sauce. The whole meal was delicious. Server downplayed the special when we asked, and didn't act all that interested in serving out to us, but ended up servicing us really well. Will definitely go back.

We were given an estimated wait time of an hour to an hour and a half, but we only waited for about 20 minutes. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Food was served quickly. Food was just okay. Fries were cold. Baked potato soup is a no go. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium, but received it medium rare.

The food was fantastic, and we had the most delicious carrot cake. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Our server Josh gave us awesome service. He was very friendly and helpful. We definitely will be back.

Our visit to Saltgrass got off to a rocky start. Initially, we were told we'd have a 15 minute wait so we went and had drinks at the bar. The bartender Alex was excellent. At somewhere between 20-30 minutes later we headed downstairs to see what was taking the hosting staff so long to seat us. They asked for another 5 minutes. We were seated shortly after they realized that I was writing Google reviews. After being seated there was a huge shift in service. Our waiter Vicente and trainee Chris were phenomenal and made up for the long wait time. The food was good. I found it to be a little too salty (wonder if that's why they call it Saltgrass) but my steak was well done as I requested. We enjoyed the restaurant's atmosphere it was conducive to having a good meal and conversation with friends.

Had a steak (cooked to my liking), veggies and salad. We went during an off-hour (few other folks there at that hour). Got right in, ordered and were out, on our way relatively quickly.

Excellent service, the entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. The steaks were cooked perfectly. Sat next to the water extremely nice view. I highly recommend eating here. I will Be back again. Watching the river cruises was fun and entertaining
