We came to dinner at Ruth Chris and the restaurant mixed out parking tickets up with another party, Mateo and Justin explained everything and assisted while waiting for the correct car. This was such a nice stay! Daisy at the front desk was so welcoming and kind!! We walked to our room after check in talking about how that was the most welcoming hotel check in we’ve ever experienced. Just for one night to meet with family. Took us a while to figure out the elevators because they weren't explained, but we eventually figured them out. Hotel was clean. Loved the river at the bottom of the hotel. Hotel has a decent selection of shops to choose from for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The breakfast shop is similar to a fusion of Starbucks. This is such a nice hotel which offers so many amenities. Its right off the river walk and beautiful. However, they give you extreme low pressure shower heads making it really hard to take a shower. Wedding Anniversary Trip This was our Anniversary trip. Room was nice but the bed wasn’t very comfortable. We were disappointed in that. The spa experience was 1st class and so were the amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay here, staff was super friendly and attentive at the pool. I did book a king bed room and complained when they put me in a queen bed room, they said they overbooked and had to move some guests around so I didn’t appreciate that they couldn’t fix it, but by the end of the stay I made a complaint and they took 105 bucks off my bill so at least they did that. Came for a business meeting. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The edge of the carpet in my room was lifted & I tripped on it several times. Best hotel on the Riverwalk! We always love staying here. It's conveniently located near all of the fun spots on the Riverwalk and downtown San Antonio. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. They even upgraded us to a riverview room because we always choose to stay there for Fiesta year after year.

The location is very good, but there is a road under construction in front of the hotel, which is very noisy. Fortunately, I can change the room. They helped me change to a room near the river, which is much better. I can walk along the river at night.

It's an old hotel, renovated, but I think that was probably 15 years ago. The staff was great; very helpful. The breakfast buffet offers a great selection, including an omelet station. It is next to the river walk, but there isn't any "River activity" here. It's just following water. The restaurants, bars, stores are a few blocks away.

Furniture and paint look very old. One of the rooms I stayed in had a mild smell. I did not notice it after a while, but definitely did when I walk in.

Rich in history, the hotel itself it's very nice. My room on the fourth floor is furnished nicely. While the hotel is nice and the room has obviously been updated it could use some touch up. This is a good budget hotel. The room was comfortable enough. They offer soft and firm pillows, but neither were amazing. The lighting was dim throughout the room and the bathroom felt like a dark box. I wouldn't call it luxury, but it was clean and had everything we needed. They have free coffee and tea in the lobby. It is across the freeway from the Alamo and River Walk, so it's an easy walk.
