The room is clean, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, the sound insulation is slightly poor but does not affect your rest; the location is good, the River walk is very convenient to the scenic spots, I will stay again if I have the opportunity👍

I’ve been enjoying my stay at this hotel. I’m in town for my first work conference and valeted my truck because I had all of our team’s booth materials in it. Dani with the valet team at the hotel has been my savior

She has helped me and been SO helpful from the moment I pulled onto the valet drive. Every time I have to grab something from my truck for our booth, Dani is right there already unlocking my truck for me

Good location and nice cleanliness. Breakfast is not included but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

We came to dinner at Ruth Chris and the restaurant mixed out parking tickets up with another party, Mateo and Justin explained everything and assisted while waiting for the correct car

If you like a view I recommend the king corner, if your lucky you get the room facing downtown. We came for a night alone for our anniversary. We had a great stay-cation.

We loved this place!! For the price I would totally go in the summer so you can take advantage of the pool area! The pool area is awesome!! We only ate at the pool side restaurant and it was good

The JW Marriott property is really elegant and beautifully decorated. We loved our ICE experience.

Very family friendly!! Our 3 year old and 1 year old had a blast at the kid pool and sand area!

However, on 09/06/2025 after spending time in the pool we all were hungry and the outside food station was closed so, they advised us to go to High Velocity as the food was good and the kids would enjoy it

This was our 1st time staying here at the JW Marriott. I wanted to bring my children to have some fun in the pool and waterslides. The front office staff was wonderful and ee enjoyed our room

The room was on the top floor, and the air conditioner was ringing all night and could not be adjusted

The location was good, the breakfast buffet was very rich, with snacks, fruits, and smoked salmon, and the breakfast service was very good

The only problems were that the elevators never came, and even when they did come on the lower floors they were full and I couldn't get on, and there was a line of people waiting for the elevator from below

Overall it was clean and the room was spacious, so it was great. I arrived at the hotel early and just wanted to leave my luggage there, but I was grateful that I was allowed to check in

When I did finally get it, I asked what happened and was essentially told that one thing led to another and though the food was ready, the delivery person got busy doing other things and forgot about it

I didn't even have to ask for my money back, they automatically did it. I didn’t learn this, however, until I looked at my bill after leaving and saw the food credit

Amazing amenities, totally worth every dollar. My kids, husband, and I had a blast. They have everything you never need to leave the property! I also visited the spa before I left 10/10. The customer service is top tier

The option to have room service was amazing, the food was delicious, my services at the spa were delightful and the staff was so kind in all the departments. We look forward to a return trip soon

The lazy river is a lot of fun. It was cold when we got there but we floated around the lazy river anyways. Nice place.

From the begin to the end of the entrance, customer service, clean room and all. The price little high

My wife and I are on our honeymoon here. Our room is well kept, up to date and quite amazing. The staff put a great deal of effort into making sure you are 100% taken care of

The staff is great! Very friendly and accomodating. There are a lot of things for kids to do. The gym needs to be updated - worn out and not clean. It is located in a nice area of San Antonio

The spa is the best part about this place, it’s easily accessible, has its own pool, the amenities are really cool

Great location on the river walk. The shower head is weak and either sprays everywhere or shoots bullets straight at you. The roof top pool is no good for hanging out and bad for kids

They also allowed us to check in very early on the day we arrived which was fantastic as it was very hot and we’re not accustomed to the Texas summer; it was nice to have a place to relax mid-day

Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting San Antonio

The staff was very courteous, the lobby was so nice and the room was very clean my love the the greeting message on the TV.

The stay was great! The team at FIUME were terrific as was the team at the Cafe. Durty Nelly's was a hit every night!

Right off the river walk. Expect to hear noise at night from surrounding venues. Beautiful hotel.

This was the closest I've stayed in the river and the fact that each evening after work I could go out on my balcony and spend time outside and people watch was so much nicer than either of the other two hotels

Hotel is in a great location downtown! Check in was quick and easy. Staff friendly! Room was spacious. Wish our balcony had two chairs to sit. Would recommend for staying downtown and would stay again!

Great location in a quiet area of the Riverwalk yet walkable to many sites, restaurants, and other entertainment venues.

Clean room, the staff was all amazing!!!! The bell hop even entertained my kids while I checked out!

I stay at Marriott hotels literally every week for work and I have never experienced pillows like this hotel had. Omgggg 😭 talk about dream-inducing

Nice location and walkable to most places on the river walk. However the rooms were dated and elevators made terrible noises. Room was clean. Staff was super nice and helpful. Not sure it’s worth the price.

The pool could have been cleaned while we were there as it hadn’t been done. The poolside area was great and clean

I recently stayed five nights at this Marriott hotel and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and they catered to all of our needs with genuine hospitality

The hotel also offers a heated indoor pool, which was a great bonus. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how spacious and beautiful the lobby is, it felt open, elegant, and inviting, making for a very welcoming first impression. The hotel’s location is outstanding

There was no hot water, no microwave, no mini fridge, couldn't find complimentary coffee, breakfast is over priced, glad i brought my own towels and valet is $32 per night

I planned the weekend for my husband's birthday. We arrived at 3 pm and was shocked at the cost of parking. We checked in which went smoothly we t up to the room. Very nice room with awesome view

Came back settled in and am very satisfied at this point with the EXCEPTION of 30 bucks for parking

From the valets to the front desk, concierge and management they were so accommodating, sweet and generous. They also treated our puppy like celebrity. They were amazing! We will always go back

The negatives were the rooms were just so so for a 4 star hotel. not many amenities, the fridge and microwave were missing and the showers need some maintenance

Also the lobby bathroom is extremely hot and humid and so are the elevator hallways. Other than that it was amazing! We LOVE IT!

It underwent major renovations several months ago and is now classed as a Marriott Tribute Hotel. Pet friendly, which I appreciate. You can check in online in advance and select a mobile key, but it serves no purpose

I didn’t notice any issues with this. I was disappointed to realize the room they gave me had a window with opaque windows, I was able to open them to see why, an interior view of HVAC equipment and a roof area

Rooms are lovely and well appointed. Shower/toilet (no bath) room with a single sink outside. There is a steam press, fridge, coffee maker, vinyl player, couch. The doors slam shut, which gets old quickly

I parked overnight in the Travis Plaza Garage (across the street) for less than $25 (Spot Hero). I’m not sure Bonvoy status was recognized (may have missed it)

The Tribute hotels within Marriott are turning out to be some of my favorite offerings, this one certainly contributes to that for me!!! The front desk person told me the hotel just opened within the last few months and services were being added as it got going

One weird thing I experienced was that the hot water didn’t get as hot as you would expect. It was just warm enough for a comfortable shower, but I think some people that like their showers hot would be disappointed

Excellent hotel, outstanding service and amenities. Hotel (both common areas and rooms) is very clean. Lots of on-site dining/drinking options which is a HUGE plus. 10/10 would highly recommend.

We were wowed instantly when we walked in this historic hotel! The comfortable and clean rooms were so luxurious! Zero entry pool looked right out of a movie! Loved the unique bar and cafe

It is a bit pricey, but I think it was worth it, especially if you want to wander downtown. The pool was a nice surprise—clean and warm, even in late November. We’re already talking about coming back in the summer

The courtyard and lobby were also very charming, and I would have loved to sit there all day if I had the time. However, while there was shampoo, there was no conditioner, so I recommend bringing your own

The location is excellent, and you can easily walk to anywhere. The room wasn't very spacious, but it was clean, cute, and had a great atmosphere

I had an unforgettable experience at the Menger Hotel in San Antonio. The hotel’s rich history and timeless charm made my stay truly special

Easy booking and close to many fun things to do.

If you are sensitive to smells DO NOT stay at the Menger, they pump a very strong scent throughout their entire hotel (all rooms included), I have altered smell from Covid and this is STRONG! They sell the scent they are pumping through at the front desk

The Menger is currently undergoing construction outside of it so be aware of the extra noise (bring sound machines). We stayed in the presidential suite. It had three balconies but no chairs to sit on in the balconies

Wasn't able to use pool. Very busy. Clean room staff friendly and very helpful. I didn't have a balcony viiew.

The only minor issues I had were the toilet paper holder was coming out of the drywall and there was what looked like gunk (didn’t look like mold) around the border of the bathroom mirror

The Room was so spacious and clean. The staff/management were friendly. They were welcoming within the second we checked in. We will Definitely be coming back soon!

It was an amazing clean hotel totally going to rebook when back in San Antonio

The room was great however the front desk gave our information to an unauthorized person informing them we were there causing a disruption to our night and we felt distressed and disappointed as we had our son with us and did not want him exposed to said people that came we expected our privacy would be protected but did not feel comfortable

Room was Great!!! We had one minor maintenance issue with the AC, but was handled very quickly. We left some clothes and that was handled very well!!

Staff greeted us with warm cookies. Our room wasn't ready and they upgraded us to one that was and was larger than ours. Valet guy was super nice. Hotel is clean, very charming. Loved the feel of it

The mirror and light sconces in our bathroom were extremely crooked and there was toilet paper fragments on the wall. Other places in the halls and interior need new coats of paint and hotel ran out of hot water by 11pm

That evening when we returned at about 10pm, we had to call the front desk again about having the AC fixed, they ended up moving us to a different room

Room was not ready. We had to wait for a while to get our room. The staff was trying to accommodate us. We just needed a room to sleep.

Overall, it was an ok experience, nothing exceptional to say about it. The best part was that it was right next to the Alamo

I was particularly surprised by the free wine during happy hour. The front desk staff was very friendly. The breakfast was also quite rich. Overall, a great hotel, highly recommended!

Best Birthday stay ever! Gold Key Club member and really enjoyed every minute of it! From the afternoon complimentary drinks, location, room clean, well rested, comfortable bed, to the great breakfast! For my view, just a couple of trees in my way but didn't disappoint me at all

The hotel is in a great location. You can watch the church's light show from the terrace at night. It's also very close to the Riverwalk, making it very convenient

We had a room with a direct view of the hemisfair for the new years fireworks and it was wonderful. The bar and outdoor are was great. Definitely would stay here again!

Bacon on bacon, egg and English Muffin sandwich wasn’t bacon. It was pork belly. In other words, mostly fat and one piece was over 1 inch thick making it impossible to bite into. Also, it came on a bagel, not a muffin.

The location was great for Seaworld. The hotel rooms weren’t the cleanest and the outside courtyard had many used towels and glasses left scattered all over. Food was decent at the spurs restaurant.

They seem to promote heated pools but none were. And even hot tub was lukewarm at best. Property and rooms were pretty nice. Had a suite, and there was definitely value regarding the rate.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the room was really clean very comfortable for our short holiday stay. We would be coming back soon.

The pools are smaller than you'd expect for a large property. Pool bar was never open any time I was there. The gym is well equipped for a hotel gym and I have been able to get good workouts in while staying there

The room was really nice balcony looks down to the riverwalk nice to watch when the cruises are going. Even the housekeepers are very nice they smile and greet u! Good job to all the staffs!

I wasn’t available to meet much of the staff but front desk lady by the name of Kat was the definition of high quality customer service. I can’t wait to return to this hotel for my next stay.

Amazing hotel! First visit to San Antonio and the Thompson but will definitely be back! Room was immaculate, staff was exceptional, Isaiah and Seth were very nice and accommodating! Couldn’t have been a better 4 days!

Not to the expectation of Thompson Hotel. Restaurant was closes, odors in arrival, bathrooms are incredibly slippery and sub par service.

Valet signs outside are a little confusing. Room service took a long time and menu was limited. It was ok for a night.

EVERYTHING from check-in to check out was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! We slept good, had a wonderful happy hour and breakfast, we’re dropped off at the airport and feel comfortable knowing our vehicle is parked safely in the parking garage
