Spark By Hilton San Antonio Northwest near Six Flags in San Antonio

This place is awful. When we booked this hotel, no one said it was being totally renovated. There was a terrible paint smell everywhere. There were no first floor rooms. The air conditioner never cooled our room and we woke up sweating all night. The pool did not work, our toilet seat was not attached to the toilet and they refused to fix it until the following day. My husband fixed the toilet using a quarter as a screwdriver...just gross.
The towels were dirty and blood stained and the bathroom door did not close properly. The pillows were awful as well.

On the booking website, this hotel touts a hot breakfast with "eggs and meat." TOTAL LIE! There was no "hot" anything, except the waffles you made yourself (in a dirty waffle iron), in a dirty kitchen area. There was NOT even any coffee or juice and there were only about five fruit loops in the cereal containers.

When we asked the staff about the hot breakfast, the lady with the disgusting dirty green fingernails (with her grandchild playing behind the desk) was rude and indignant that we even asked. This place is GARBAGE...DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!

We paid over $100.00 per night when it should have been half that. Thinking of booking a room here...JUST SAY "NO!"

This hotel is now a "hilton spark". The staff when first checking in was SO rude. They treated us like we were a burden. We had questions but all the answer immediately were NO!

The area looks super cheaply "redone' with carpet squares lifting off the ground they tried to stick them to, and doors not being able to open because the carpet is blocking them.

The breakfast was 2 bagels and some cream cheese. Nothing else. They offer no extra blankets, pillows, or towels when we asked. They did NOT try to accommodate for someone with disabilities.

We had to wait 3 hours for someone to come to our room to fix our fire alarm that started beeping at 3 AM.

The rooms were very poorly "painted". You could still see the chipping paint under it, and the tile and trim were filthy.

this place is under renovation and was not informed prior to arriving.The checking in lady was rude saying we couldn’t checking until 4 even though they had a sign that said 3 pm. Power went off leaving room unsecured as lock were disabled and took two hours to fix the door. GM didn’t seem to care when we talked to him. When we asked for our room to be cleaned, they didn’t clean the toilet. the rim on the bottom was yellow and dusty. meaning it didn’t get clean. The inside of toilet and toilet lids were not cleaned either. nasty! Also no microwaves in the rooms, or coffee for breakfast. Do not recommend this place.

Very poor, no hair dryer, newly renovated, formaldehyde seriously exceeded the standard

The hotel is a little bit on the older side. Our room was extremely humid even with the AC blowing full blast. I do think the rooms could have been cleaned a little better. Some belongings from the previous guests were left behind. Breakfast was good but with limited selection compared to other hotels. The one thing that did bother us the most was the staff. The young girls cleaning the rooms are extremely rude with zero customer service or hospitality; however, front desk staff were always cheerful. Overall, you get what you pay for.

First all, when we arrived there was no receptionist at the front lobby. The doors were locked and we had to bang on the sliding doors and still one one heard us. It was until these two teenage boys let us in through the back door that we walked up to the lobby and that's when we noticed how dirty the floors were and the rugs were flipped over and had stains all over them. The receptionist didn't apologize and gave us our room which was on he first floor. When we entered the room it was extremely cold which i enjoyed. There was a faint smell again but we ignored and went straight to sleep since we have been on the road for 6 hours. The next morning we woke up to take a shower to realize there were bed bugs on the pillows and bed! We had bites on us and i immediately called Hotwire which is who I booked with. I had to cancel the additional night. NO ONE from the hotel ever spoke to us or apologized for the horrible event we went through.
