Classic, old but well-maintained hotel.
Restaurant - good food, but server was ok but could be better for pleasant experience
Room - paid ＞300$ for a room without TV, and desk and outside bathroom, would you want to stay next time? No, because it is not worth spending 300$
Front service - need to improve to more to accommodate customer's request, I meant a reasonable request,
Received a 10$ coupon but as my flight was early in the morning, I asked if I can get a donaut using the coupon a night before check out or early morning at check out but
she turned down as the restaurant is close. Um... 300$ per night but useless 10$ coupon without any flexibility.
I like the coziness but not the service I experienced.

It was a lovely stay! A little concerning the amount of rats outside the hotel but I understand D.C. has a rat infestation at the moment.
The hotel was exquisite…the room divine…the location ideal….the staff top notch.

The antithesis of a boxy chain hotel. Unique rooms, eclectic decor. Affordable, safe, friendly and centrally located. Not for everyone: no TVs, no elevator. Noisy neighborhood at times with middle of the night car alarms repeatedly set off. Food is excellent with a great bar and Victorian lounge.

The staff was very courteous and respectful. The room was clean and the lounge area was warm and cozy with the fireplace that was being used.

Rooms were clean and had a ton of charm. Dinner service was delightful and I'm still thinking about those Cheese Fritters.

They say paid parking is $26.00 but it is actually $30.68 because they have a 15% surcharge on credit cards. They were not helpful when I requested early check in…said a room was available but wanted to charge me $25.00 (not including the surcharge). The cheapest rooms have a shared bathroom down the hall. They offered to upgrade to a room with a bathroom but said it would be $100.00 extra. I said no, then they offered a room with a bathroom for $35.00 extra. Actually came out to $38.50 with their surcharge. No hot water when I took a shower the nite we checked. At breakfast I gave our server a $10.00 off coupon from the front desk. From that point on he was rude. Did not see him again until he dropped the bill off. We tipped 20% in cash on the total before the reduced amount. No thank you or anything. Just more rude service and asked if we had the coupon that I gave him at the beginning of the meal. The restaurant was the best part of the stay but the quality of food and staff was better at dinner compared to breakfast the next morning. The location is great for seeing sites in DC with a quick car ride. Probably would not stay a second time though. Rooms are a bit beat up and could use some remodeling. I did not appreciate the extra fees and them trying to get more money out of me again and again.

We enjoyed staying here in an historic building. Big room & bed. No fridge but reception offers to store in theirs. Bathrooms are shared. Walkable to Whitehouse etc.

The location is good, 17 minutes walk to the White House.
Located in a neighborhood with some historical buildings, it is a historical building itself. The whole hotel is full of artworks, and the rooms are antique and very tasteful.
The first floor of the hotel is its own restaurant, which has also entered the Michelin guide. When checking in, I was given a coupon to eat here and had a breakfast experience, which was quite good.
Parking is a problem. When booking, I specifically looked at the hotel introduction on Ctrip, which said that there was a parking lot nearby, but it turned out to be a paid parking lot not far away, which cost a little more than $30 a day. Ctrip's introduction gave people the illusion that there was free parking, which is Ctrip's responsibility for not being clear.

My go to for healthy work lunches!
Love the portion sizes at ABP, everyone will find something suitable. I like that they display the calorie count so I can pick and choose to meet my daily requirements.
The salmon wasabi bagel is the absolute best!!! If you get a skinny bagel, it's less then 400 Cal! Turkey chilli is a great option in colder weather and their power packs are great anytime :)

This isn't one of the better ABPs. Service is usually decent, but many of the wrapped foods (sandwiches, brie/grape platter, mini chocolate chips) that I have purchased have all been old or sub-par in some way. Get something out of the pastry "cupboards" by the front door, or from the sandwich counter instead.
