Hotel's location is good, near metro station, shopping center, Chinatown. Breakfast is just okay.

The hotel's location is great; it was very convenient for my nearby conference, and it's not far from the memorial parks. The area between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial is perfect for a run. Washington D.C. feels quite safe, so I didn't worry about getting around.

My husband and I take a trip together every year, and this year it was near New York. The hotel's location was excellent, not far from any of the attractions. We rented bikes for a day, which made getting around much easier and saved our legs!

The room was spacious and the location was good, so I was quite satisfied. The only thing is the high taxes, which need to be paid separately upon arrival.

The only negative is the always dirty and severely stained front entrance and carpet. Being that it’s your first impression when you walk in, it definitely takes away from the experience.

The Fairmont is clustered with other nice hotels in DC’s “West End” neighborhood. The rooms are nicely appointed. The food is good and there are also great dining options nearby. We had a nice stay but our expectations were a bit higher based on other Fairmont properties we have stay at. We expected a fabulous Christmas decor experience like the Seattle location but here was subpar. Poor experience.  Our reservation was cancelled according to concierge upon our arrival, took two hours for baggage to arrive to the room. Food was so delayed at restaurant, as a nursing mother I needed a refrigerator and it took 1.5 days to receive one. Very disappointing experience.

Location is walkable to Chinatown and nearby popular areas. The modern design is very nice and can be seen throughout the hotel. Loved the art throughout the hotel. Only downside was the mattress was on the firmer side, and the beds could have used extra sheets for us cold sleepers. Otherwise, it was perfect for a relaxing weekend gate-away to the city.
