I booked a room at the Salamander DC for my mom’s birthday, and even two days after checking out she’s still talking about how it was the best birthday weekend she’s ever had. That alone made it worth it.
The location is perfect, right along the Washington Channel by the Potomac. It feels calm and tucked away from the chaos of downtown, but you’re still super close to the National Mall and The Wharf...
Poor experience. Our reservation was cancelled according to concierge upon our arrival, took two hours for baggage to arrive to the room. Food was so delayed at restaurant, as a nursing mother I needed a refrigerator and it took 1.5 days to receive one. Very disappointing experience.
I recently stayed at the Salamander DC for a quick one-night getaway. While the stay was perfectly pleasant, it didn't quite hit the 'luxury status' I expected from the marketing. The service was satisfactory and the staff were professional, but there wasn't that 'above and beyond' intuition you typically find at this price point. The ambiance felt a bit more functional than immersive—it lacks that...
I recently stayed three nights at the Salamander Washington, DC, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The room was exceptionally comfortable, especially the bed, which made it easy to rest after long days of sightseeing. The bathroom was spotless and well-maintained, reflecting the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
The food was outstanding, and I want...

Service is average, food and desserts are average, environment is elegant, sanitation
Facility is medium level, food and beverage service is too slow
The service is average. The shower items are not updated in time. It is very close to the Tidal Basin. It is the best choice for viewing cherry blossoms. It only takes a few minutes to walk from the hotel. You can see the Jefferson Memorial in the room

2nd time we have stayed at Pentegon City Ritz. We have been fortunate enough to stay at many great hotels, but none can compete with this hotel. The service is so far beyond anywhere else, from the second you check in, they refer to you by name, the property is immaculate and very high end, room was great. As for location, its not too far from DC landmarks, and right next door to the Pentagon...
This was one of the best Ritz Carlton‘s that I have been at. Mainly, the staff is absolutely wonderful and so helpful. We were in town for the Marines marathon so we had four amazing nights staying at this hotel. The restaurant Sante is fantastic. The hostess was so friendly and when I returned, she remembered my name! The housekeeping is top-notch and very respectful the front desk staff welcome desk...
The hotel is great, after all, it's the Ritz! The location is also very convenient, with a subway station right outside, shopping malls, restaurants, and bars next door, and taxis are easy to get around. It's very close to Reagan Airport, and a little further from Dulles Airport, but not too far either; a taxi ride would cost a few tens of dollars…
The rooms are spacious and clean. The lobby entrance is a bit small. Transportation is extremely convenient; the Pentagon City subway station is right outside the lobby, and it's only four stops to Washington, D.C. The Pentagon shopping district is nearby.
I am very satisfied with the hotel facilities and cleanliness.
Although the hotel is a bit old, it still guarantees the quality of a four-star hotel. The location of the hotel is also quite convenient for dining and shopping.

The location is great. Rooms are decent and modern 5 star. Cleanliness is average though.
Excellent service, beautiful hotel, great location
This wasn't my first time staying at the Conrad, but this was the only time the room wasn't cleaned. I had originally gone downstairs, but then I remembered and went to my room to change the "Do Not Disturb" button to "Green" for room cleaning. I wonder if they were short-staffed or something else? Later that evening, I returned to the hotel and asked the front desk for two more towels, but they took...
We spent a few days at the Conrad this past weekend, and the experience was truly memorable. The service was impeccable, the staff warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere vibrant throughout our stay.
We dined at the hotel’s main restaurant, Estuary, and also enjoyed drinks at the rooftop bar—both offered exceptional food and even better service. Special thanks to Will and Lauren for their outstanding...
Our first trip here and we were not disappointed! The staff were absolutely lovely! Room was good size, beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked very well. They accommodated my room request without issue.
Downside was no pool and the restaurant on site was pricey and menu limited.
Valet parking was great!
The Conrad is an absolutely exceptional experience. Every staff member we met was friendly. Aileen at the front desk was so kind and welcoming that I couldn’t help but write a review. Also, the property is clean, organized, and modern. The housekeeping staff is doing a great job.
Only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the rooftop bar, the staff was kind, but most of the seating does not have shade.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained hotel with a refined atmosphere and excellent attention to detail. The rooms and common areas are spotless, the views are lovely, and the pool, hot tub, and sauna are standout amenities. The location is ideal, close to the train and very easy to navigate via Uber, making travel seamless and convenient.
I rated this stay four stars for two reasons. The onsite restaurant...
Beautiful hotel! Love the renovations. Booked because I wanted to use the pool and it was closed for renovations. It was supposed to open the next day but then no one knew if it was still closed or not. But still loved the hotel, great staff, lovely room, great overall value!
So the check in was smooth and quick, my room at first glance was great until I found freeze dried bananas on the floor which indicated the room wasn’t cleaned properly. I utilized the spa which was pretty nice, was a bit confused as to why there was no water in the lockers or spa area but that’s okay — later I asked for some toiletries and the guy kept getting it wrong. I asked for body wash, shampoo...
A historically significant hotel. However, the service is somewhat slow, with long waits at the front desk. The rooms and facilities are a bit dated, not as modern as newer hotels, but it is, after all, a historical location.
The room is not too big, the decoration is very ordinary, and the facade is very imposing!
This is the hotel where the Watergate incident occurred, and it has a very historical feel. However, the hotel room facilities are average and the sound insulation is very poor. The gym is actually very good, and there are foam rollers you can use.

Absolutely exceptional service. From the moment we checked in until we checked out we were treated with upmost respect. The hotel itself and the room was very clean and classy. Would extremely recommend this place to anyone...
Great hotel! The room was beautiful and impeccably clean! The valet, front desk and housekeeping services were all very good. It’s a little pricey but we had a very nice stay here.
Two warnings, though:

Dear Willard Team,
I wanted to extend my sincere thanks for the exceptional service during my recent stay. Everyone was friendly, the Truffled Fries were delicious. It was so close to very important and beautiful places. Really enjoyed my stay and definitely recommended and will go again.
The Washington Hotel is in a very good location, just across the street from the White House. It is very convenient to walk to the White House. The hotel is relatively clean, but the room is a little small
The room is a little small, but very clean and tidy! The hotel closest to the White House! It's very beautiful to enjoy the food on the top floor and watch the sunset in the direction of the White House! Very shocking! It's very convenient to walk to the National Mall!
The location is very good. It is very convenient to go anywhere.
This hotel is quite good. Many government officials stay here when they are on business trips. The location is less than 5 minutes walk to the White House. The Treasury Department is across from the hotel. It is also only 5 minutes walk to popular restaurants in DC. The room is large and well lit with many windows.
The cleaning service was not timely and I had to call the room service to do it. The cleaning staff did not provide water glasses in time.

Disappointed cuz the room quite dirty as didn’t in a decade. Food not good. Bad experience. We never back
The room is very comfortable, low-key and luxurious, the bathtub, bed and quilt are very clean
It was a hotel that had everything, from a 5-minute walk from the subway station, to the friendly service of the front desk staff, to the spacious rooms. I was able to book it at a low price with Trip.com's Super Destination discount, and it was a more satisfactory stay.
There is a certain gap between the two
The location is very good, close to the White House, and in the area where luxury hotels in Washington are clustered. The surrounding area feels very safe. The room is quite large, the facilities are also good, and the decoration has a strong European and American style. It is very cost-effective
The water flow of the shower is a bit small and the water temperature is also a bit cold. Everything else is good.

It’s a old hotel all the accommodations is old and it’s very noisy
Very friendly staff very clean and very centric
The rating is quite misleading, if it weren’t for the room configuration for 3 people as two separate rooms, would not have booked here. Breakfast is terrible, skipped it completely and went elsewhere. No hair dryer, only one of the two shower heads worked (either too hot or too cold, impossible to get just right). Bedsheets were passable at best. Right on the street so it’s VERY loud, if you don’t...

The location is excellent for touring the city. The breakfast was okay , not many choices but served by staff who were attentive to details. The staff was great. Toilet seat was too close to water. I had to hover or get my manhood wet. Staff was friendly and location was good. Bed comfortable. Room clean. Tub and shower was a plus. Big screen TV and radio was better than expected. Near White House so location is a big plus.

As with every Four Seasons we stay at the staff are top notch - anticipating and ready to help at any given moment. Beautiful property and amazing location!!!! Hospitality is 5 stars. A must stay when in DC!
One of the best experiences ever. From rooms to dining and service. All were excellent. The hotel lobby is truly the anchor and has a grand sense of arrival. The service is great and the Peacock alley is a great place to sit and soak in the full aura and ambiance it to mention having some great meetings as well. Definitely a must see and a must stay.
I like the room and the location as it’s very clean and nice!!
The Waldorf Astoria is simply stunning! The moment you step into the grand lobby, you're enveloped in timeless elegance. This should be considered the ceiling of the downtown hotel in DC. It used to be the Trump Hotel, so the entire hotel is decorated with classic golden traces of the Trump Hotel😆. The hotel leaves mixed feelings.
It’s a very atmospheric place — the building used to be a bank — with tasty breakfasts and friendly staff. However, I cannot recommend it. Instead of normal water, only boiling hot water comes out of the taps, making it impossible to wash your hands or take a shower without burning yourself. The issue was never fixed during my four-day stay.
Breakfasts are delicious...

Wonderful personalised service and comfort in a central location
Dim lighting in room. Otherwise great locations and ok size of room.
The location is great! It's not far to walk anywhere. The service quality of the hotel restaurant is very poor. It is not recommended to eat there

Top notch hotel. The lack of a regal lobby benefits this hotel. Charming and hospitable. 5 stars. Go there.
Bed needed a new mattress. Coffee maker in room didn’t work. Very small room for the cost. When I went down to breakfast, hostess wanted to make me wait because I didn’t have a reservation. Second hostess intervened and gave me a table. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times in the past and always had a better experience. They need to up their game.

We booked two queen beds and a sofa bed for a family of five. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast buffet was free, and the $25 coupons for coffee, cola, and snacks were great. Parking was a bit expensive, costing about $60, but it was comparable to the parking rates at all Washington hotels.
