I stayed at the Mercure near Bukhara's Old City for a business trip. The overall environment was beautiful, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. Most of the guests checking in were senior tour groups from Europe and America.

Bukhara's top-ranked hotel certainly lived up to its reputation. It's incredibly unique and conveniently located in the Old City, making it easy to get to all the attractions. The breakfast was delicious, and both the service and room amenities were excellent. Highly recommended!

Overall, the value for money isn't great. The facilities and room size are quite small, and 2000 per night feels expensive. Even though it's in the old city, you still have to walk over a kilometer to reach any attractions. You'd be better off staying in a guesthouse closer to the main square. However, given the construction limitations in Bukhara's old town, there aren't many truly excellent hotels, so you can't expect too much. The pleasant surprise was that every afternoon, they offer complimentary snacks and desserts by the entrance in the lobby, which was a nice touch. I especially recommend the white, chocolate-like square treats.

Wasn’t a very pleasant stay. On the first day we felt like a scam. We booked the room with an open window door but when we checked in, they gave us an accessible room next to the lift. Nothing looked like the picture on trip.com nor on Mercure website. The accessible bathroom design was also a huge miss. We tried to talk to front desk but they said that’s the last room they have and there were twin beds in the room, so that’s the correct room. They in the end asked us to request for room change the next day if we don’t ‘like’ it.
We waited the manager until late morning next day and explained the issue which was more than a room change request. The manager admitted there are only a few rooms that actually look like the picture on their website. They finally gave us the room that we actually booked after a long argument, and compensated us on the first night issue.
Beware of what you booked. They mixed a lot of different rooms into one room category and charge the same price point.
The room amenities were basic also.

Beautiful hotel. Clean, spacious bedroom and bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. I called reception for help..they sent someone to my room immediately. Variety and delicious breakfast.

Most hotels in Bukhara have rather questionable interior designs, but Mercure isn't one of them. This hotel is beautifully decorated and bright inside. The lobby offers complimentary water and local dried fruits, and the service is excellent. The rooms are a bit small, but that seems to be the norm for hotels of this caliber on this trip. The hotel's location is fantastic, right on the edge of the old city, avoiding the crowded traffic within. It's a 10-minute walk to the square with the Afanti statue and 15 minutes to the Chor Minor Mosque – all easily walkable if you're up for it.

It is close to the attraction main place such as the Poi Kalyan. The ambient is nice and the room i get is spacious and nice. Clean and beautiful.

The hotel's decor is very unique. The rooms are spacious, and they also have a pool, a steam room, and a spa. However, the breakfast was a bit simple.

I had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and has a warm, modern atmosphere. The pool and sauna were absolutely outstanding.
The staff were amazing. The manager greeted me even before check-in, which made me feel welcomed right away. And the doorman, Timur, always met me with a warm smile and kind eyes. It felt safe and almost like coming home.
The location was fine for me. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Lyabi Hauz, and I felt safe walking even at night.
