The decorating smelled strongly of formaldehyde, and the service and hygiene were both terrible. Beware! ❌
We arrived at 1:00 AM and were given a newly painted room with a very pungent renovation smell. There were no other rooms available. Since it was a small, foreign city, it would have been difficult to find another hotel that night, so we made do. We slept with the windows open the entire night for ventilation.
There were no duvets on the bed when we arrived. There was only one guy at the front desk. They delivered two single duvets for the double bed—one white, one black and yellow. There were no covers, only backs, so you had to put on your own covers. It was so confusing.
The pictures of the common areas did show a magnificent plant garden. While the hotel website pictures looked beautiful, the room was utterly awful. It was worse than even a B&B or guesthouse in a second-tier city in China, and it cost 660 yuan a night during National Day. Such a rip-off! Warning to fellow Chinese people!

The family room is a spacious two-bedroom suite. There's ample parking, perfect for those driving. There's also a small garden on the first floor. Many European and Chinese tour groups choose this hotel.

Front desk service attitude is very poor

On the first day, I was given a room next to the public toilet on the first floor of the lobby. There are four such rooms in the lobby, and the floor height is the same as the lobby. They are not normal guest rooms at all. There were people chatting in the lobby at midnight, which made it impossible to sleep. The next day, I asked the front desk to change the room, but they told me that the reservation was full and they couldn't change it. I said this room was too outrageous, and then the front desk changed it again, and told me to keep it quiet and not tell anyone else. The 0.5 points for service is for the front desk who didn't insist on lying to me that they couldn't change it because the room was full.

For a three-star hotel, everything is fine. Pros: robes in the room, a good restaurant open from morning until night, good Wi-Fi, very quiet.
Cons: the old town is a 20-minute walk away, but it's inconvenient, as you have to cross highways and a residential area. The bed is large, but uncomfortable: no mattress pad, poor pillows, and washed-out gray linens. The shower has no water pressure, and it takes three hours to fill the bathtub.

The hotel is in the new town, but only 3km away from the old town. There is a shopping mall next to it with a large supermarket and a fast food restaurant upstairs. The hotel room is quite large and relatively clean, but the mattress is a bit hard. Locals like to come to the hotel lobby and garden to take wedding photos. The water in the swimming pool is not very clean.
