Grand Nodirbek Hotel in Bukhara

We stayed at this hotel in October 2025. It was a pleasure surprise for us to spent a couple of days in a 15th century old Jewish houses, adjusted to the synagogue, and converted to the hotel. We were told that the hotel owner bought 5 abandoned old Jewish homes, next door to the synagogue and convert them to the beautiful hotel with a garden. During the hotel reconstructions, a couple of rooms with Torah inscriptions were discovered and preserved as is. Also, the vine cellars were discovered as well. Every day, the hotel administrations provided a free tour thru the these rooms, explained Jewish life in Bukhara then and now. We stayed at the first floor room Highly recommended this hotel.

This ancient guest house need for sure some extra refurbishments. Some rooms are very new and spacious some others are really average. Staff is kind and helpfull, breakfast very nice in a very charming environement. in general it's all a bit neglected and in bad condition. a real shame because the house is full of charm and the location is perfect. I hope they continue with the renovations.
