I had the opportunity to stay here in March. The location is the main plus, a few steps from Lyabi House with its atmospheric lake and restaurants. The hotel is an ancient merchant house and must be preserved as such. It can therefore appear to lack creature comforts. The host is a good man but the rooms lack some touches that clients may want. For example there was no tea or soap on our arrival. Most rooms give out into the central courtyard. Breakfast is only average.
I would say it is a good compromise price/location but don’t come if you want a modern hotel.

Perfectly located at only few steps away from the vibrant center of the old city.
This ancient guest house need for sure some extra refurbishments. Some rooms are very new and spacious some others are really average. Staff is kind and helpfull, breakfast very nice in a very charming environement. in general it's all a bit neglected and in bad condition. a real shame because the house is full of charm and the location is perfect. I hope they continue with the renovations.

Not just a hotel! We came here for a wonderful demonstration of Jewish green plov cooked over a traditional fire stove. The setting in the courtyard of an old Jewish home filled with plants and wooden columns was a beautiful experience. We met the whole family who were so welcoming and shared so much about life in Uzbekistan. Afterwards we ate the delicious plov in the splendour of a very old Jewish room in the house. This was one of the highlights of our trips to Uzbekistan. I can’t recommend it enough. A big thank you to our lovely hosts. Make sure you request this service. It’s open to anyone - not just the guests of the hotel.

This is the actual location of the hotel currently, and not the other two locations listed. Rooms are nice and they stay cool in the day. Air con functions. Shower, internet and breakfast all present and correct. Good location. The courtyard is lovely in the evening/morning when it's in the shade.
