The hotel staff was really friendly and the hotel is walking distance to the old town which was really comfortable. Also we were allowed to use the minibar (coke, water and beer) for free. However the hotel itself for me was more that dirty and old. They present themselves as high class hotel online while in reality there are old furniture, dirty bathroom and in general a very low standard. Having a shower was truly an experience for us. The water in the sink didn’t flow properly. On top the price was absolutely (!!!!!!!!!!) a joke. We paid 178€ for one night and a room for 3 persons which for Hanoi is not only overpriced but simply rude. We chose it because there were only few options for thus date as on the same weekend there was a huge festival hosted in Hanoi and 98% of all hotels wer already booked. we would not book here again.

I had an amazing stay at The Pilgrim Boutique in Hanoi! The hotel itself is charming, comfortable, and perfectly located, but what truly made my experience special was Ms. Lee’s incredible hospitality. From the moment I arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. She organized fantastic tours that allowed me to explore Hanoi and beyond effortlessly, and she took care of me throughout my entire stay. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made me feel truly welcomed. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be treated like family, this is it. Highly recommend!

Nothing like the picture. Dirty, terrible service. Based on other reviews, I think it is possibly a scam with another hotel with a similar name. My room was so filthy I asked to change, and the second room was infested with cockroaches…. Never again.

We booked this hotel which is normally not up to our standards only because we had to wait 5h somewhere before taking our late flight back home. The receptionist showed us a nice room on her telephone and said it is not ready, so we paid the room fare and came back later. We were sent to another place, 2 buildings up the street and we got to a different atmosphere where everything was run down. The attached pictures are talking by themselves! TV is not working. We had ask for toilet paper

Mrs Lee was there for us any time. she book us trip to Ha long and Hagiang. real easy for us. the bus take us directly at the hotel she was super sweet. she offer us tea when we arrive and came back. totaly recommend. room are clean et everything is super closed by ! :)

Hotel Review: Disappointing Experience

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations, especially considering the price. The room quality was disappointing—small, outdated, and not well-maintained. The furnishings felt cheap, and the cleanliness was questionable. For the price I paid, I expected much better standards.

The staff were polite but provided only average service. They seemed uninterested in going the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. Basic requests, such as assistance with luggage or local recommendations, were met with minimal effort.

Overall, the value for money is very poor. I would not recommend staying here unless there are significant improvements to both the room quality and the staff’s attentiveness. There are better options at this price point elsewhere.

Good hotel, good service. I had a beautiful day with my family. I didn't think a small hotel in the old town could satisfy me so much. Everyone welcomed me with enthusiasm and friendliness. Here you will have the same cozy feeling as in your family. The staff is very enthusiastic, especially the receptionist Trung (Silas). I introduced my friends to stay here. Will come back here if there is a next opportunity. Thank you all
