It is a most peaceful place for your soul. It is cleaned, green, beautiful place. They made me coconut from palm, it is awesome. And itbis really one place on island, where i found a coconut milk for coffee. Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️

Beach was full of trash. Pool was ok. Restaurant meals were traditional Vietnamies but with average taste. For one night ok but for longer stay very questionable.

I had the pleasure of staying at Cay Sao Beach Resort for one night, and overall, it was a peaceful and refreshing experience. Located on the east side of the island, it’s in a quieter area, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the touristy streets. If you enjoy tranquility and serenity, this is the place for you. However, if you prefer more activity and a livelier atmosphere, this might not be the best choice.

The stilted bungalows are comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The resort and its gardens are cleaned daily, giving the place a fresh and welcoming feel. While the resort offers dining options, I found the dinner a bit underwhelming, possibly because I chose the wrong dish (I’m a fan of spicy food, and they didn’t really have that).

The beach is quite small and not ideal for swimming, so if you’re looking to swim or sunbathe by a larger beach, this might not be the best option. However, I recommend renting a motorbike (an automatic for 180,000 VND or a semi-automatic for 120,000 VND), which makes it easy to explore other areas of the island.

The resort is also a great base to visit other spots on the island. On a hot day, the well-maintained pool is a perfect place to cool off. Overall, I would recommend Cay Sao Beach Resort to anyone seeking a quiet and relaxing stay in a beautiful setting.

Great vacation spot

Family run resort, very friendly and attentive.
Cute bungalows with fridge and balcony overlooking the sea.
Nice pool with grass area. Restaurant on premises which offers good quality food but no wine available. Make sure to order pancakes and egg coffee for breakfast.
Swimming is not great in the ocean due to slimmy rocks. Plan to rent a scooter which they offer at the resort and go to OhLang beach (west coast). No groceries near the resort.
If you are looking for a peaceful place, this is it.
Would go back again

far from the city, dirty, the sheets had black stains, smelled of mold and the toilet was very dirty. we left the next day. The sea was not the expectedly one . They show you pictures that are not showing the reality. I has a coffe in a dirty cup. Not recommended

Beautiful spot with great accommodation, very clean and comfortable. great sunsets.. staff very helpful and friendly. Beach area not great & very rocky. Food is good but not a great selection available. Pool ok a bit basic. Great place to relax for a few days.

We stayed at here for a week and absolutely loved it. It’s a small resort with only 8 cabins which are very comfortable and clean. Comfortable bed, good air con, great bathroom. Such friendly staff including Helen who helped us with anything we needed, meals, drinks, taxi, drivers, tour tickets etc etc. it’s a quiet side of the island but the resort can arrange taxi or rental bike if you want to go to town. Well established and known bar Rory’s Bar only 3km up the road. We had great view of the water and fishermen and boats from our balcony. The pool was great and we wishes the weather was a bit better to enjoy it more, but even when it rained, the atmosphere was lovely. At night the place is lit up and was so nice and relaxing. And if you’re an animal lover, there’s a special little dog named Lucky who, after he gets to know you, loves his cuddles ! We would 100% stay here again, and recommend it to others.

My wife and I had a lovely stay here. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. There was a taxi shortage while we were there but they were always able to help us to book something, even driving us themselves sometimes. Our room was very comfortable and surprisingly private. The food was really nice and the dogs were especially friendly! It is a little remote, which is both a positive (you really can be alone with just the ocean breeze) but also a negative (travelling to and from does require planning) My only criticism is that the private beach is more a giant sandpit and we weren't able to swim in the sea. It was still a comfortable and nice area, but not 100% what we thought we'd be getting.

Everything was so great here, highly recommend for a few days away from the main city. Family run resort with cute bungalows that are well appointed and clean. The grounds are lovely to just hang out and relax. The food was great and prices are super reasonable. Mi soup Rau was so so good! They accommodated me last minute and was able to add a 3rd day I loved it so much. Pool and restaurant area is very cute and island open air style, they can also help you with all sorts of tours and bookings, loved my stay!
