Empire Hotel in Durres

Spent 5 nights at this hotel. Hotel was clean, room and bathroom spacious and staff attentive. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.
The hotel is situated on a fairly busy road not far from the beach.
The beach bar and sun loungers were excellent.
Plenty of very inexpensive places to eat and drink locally.

The Best of the Best!

Our stay at Hotel Empire in Durrës was truly exceptional — the best of the best! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even upgraded our room to one with a balcony, which was such a nice surprise and made our stay even more enjoyable.

The bar at the beach is amazing — great atmosphere and stunning views. Juli, the waitress, and all the staff members was absolutely lovely and took great care of us every day with their kind and professional service.

The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Even though room cleaning was supposed to be every three days, they cleaned our room daily, which really made it feel like home. Every time we asked for something, the staff went out of their way to help.

Everything is so well organised, and the hospitality is top-notch. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend Hotel Empire to anyone visiting Durrës.

The hotel staff is fantastic, always willing to help. The pool on the roof top is usually quiet, and better than the beach. If someone plays music on the speaker it ruins it. Cleaning staff excellent. The hotel is on the main road so if you get a room facing that road it is pretty noisy. Other rooms facing the smaller street i suspect are much quieter

We stayed one night with my wife at this hotel,,,, from the outside it is very well maintained and has a nice view, the lobby looks very good,,, while I can't say the same about the rooms,,,, the room we had was 107 (junior suite) it was not well maintained, the jacuzzi was out of order, nothing worked except the water tap and the drain, one of the reasons we chose this hotel, very small bathroom for a junior suite but also a little unpleasant smell in the bathroom, the extractor fan was very noisy for a hotel room or it was broken or it wasn't super silent as per the standard, the breakfast was very lukewarm, for one night it is ok but for many nights I don't think it is suitable.

The room we had in this hotel was quite small, but there was a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs to sit outside, which was a nice seating area. The bathroom was quite small, but was adequate for showering, etc. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. A 5-minute walk across the road took you to the hotel’s private beach which has a beach bar with very friendly staff. The beach had very comfortable sunbeds and plenty of umbrellas available for guests, however they do not provide beach towels. There is also a lovely pool area at the hotel. Breakfast was substantial and gave a good start to the day. There is also free parking at the rear of the hotel in a small car park. Due to the beach facilities and close proximity to the beach, I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely pool area, clean and attentive staff, some building work going on near the sea - but looked almost finished. Very tricky to access the sea here, lots of rocks, you need to walk 15-20 minutes and then you get to a nice beach. All pebbles so bring your aqua shoes. Receptionists and staff all very friendly. Really good breakfast. 30 mins drive to Himare for cave swimming and another nice beach. 20 mins drive to Dhermi for very posh restaurants. Room was very new and very nice. Power shower and comfortable bed. Looks like they are planting what will be a beautiful garden.

We upgraded to a superior suite half way through our stay from a family room with a balcony, can not fault either Room, although the superior room is just wow!! Absolutely amazing staff, always smiling and helpful, service at breakfast was fantastic, breakfast was also lovely with a good variety of different items. Pool was lovely and a great space to relax, Can't recommend this hotel enough.

Great hotel. Clean, beautiful, quiet. The best service. Very helpful and friendly people. The food is fresh and excellent. If you are going to Albania, I recommend only this hotel. I recommend it with all my heart.

We had a lovely 5 nights here! Fantastic location! I can't decide which but of our stay was the best as it was all fabulous! From start to finish. Stunning clean room with power shower, good breakfast, pool and pool bar great! Comfy bed was like ours at home! The highlight to finish the beach bar the best on the front in Duress you'd think you was in Caribbean! Music dancing till late, fun laughter and lovely cocktails! Finally was lovely to meet the owner of this lovely building and her staff are exeptional! Thank you we will be back xxxx
