Mai Tai Resort in Tirana

We spent a wonderful week at Mai Tai Resort on the outskirts of Tirana (along the Elbasan road, in the Mjull Bathore area). The hotel is perfectly positioned , about 15-20 minutes by taxi from Tirana’s lively city center (Skanderbeg Square). You get the best of both worlds,easy access to all the attractions while enjoying much quieter surroundings and cleaner air.The room was spotless and nicely designed in a modern minimalist style. We booked a suite that came with a large comfortable bed, sofa, a decent-sized fridge (super handy for keeping drinks and snacks fresh), and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was spacious and featured a built-in bidet, which was a lovely surprise and made daily life that bit more comfortable.One of the biggest advantages is the location right next to the huge Tirana East Gate (TEG) shopping mall , literally a 5-minute walk away. It has everything you could need,a big supermarket, currency exchange, shops, and a great food court upstairs. We loved eating at Nonna their seafood pasta was excellent! There are also plenty of familiar fast-food options when you want something quick.The staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help. They happily answered all our questions and gave us useful tips about museums, must-see spots, and how to best explore the city center.On site, there’s a sports bar, a restaurant, and a solid continental breakfast every morning. During the warmer months, the swimming pool is open. Practical tip: Download one of the local taxi apps (Speedy works great) it makes getting into Tirana quick, cheap, and hassle-free.All in all, we had a very enjoyable and stress-free stay. If you’re looking for a comfortable, modern hotel that’s close enough to the city but far enough to escape the noise, I highly recommend Mai Tai Resort. We’d definitely return on our next trip to Albania. Just do a little planning ahead (taxi apps, etc.) and you’ll have a smooth, relaxing holiday.Highly recommended!

Amazing hotel/resort! We come here every year and we are more than happy. The rooms are very spacious and clean, staff are so lovely they make you feel like a part of the Maitai family🙏 anything you need is provided, breakfast is lovely and the pool is also really nice with a DJ and amazing cocktails. It is located opposite a big shopping centre TEG which has all the essentials and you are surrounded by beautiful mountains.We have been to this hotel around 6 times, we come here like home so we will definitely be returning again! Everything was just as I expected, the rooms were nice for the price. The pool area was dirty, it seems as though it was from some previous event. The guy at the front desk was super nice and helpful.

Located in the best place , you have highway near , center of tirana 5 minutes , TEG is near . The staff was very kind . Pool was just renovated and water was crystal clear, they also make event with the best singer of Albania every weekend.

One of the best pools in Tirana! We paid about $10 a person to get in as non-guests of the resort. We took the bus to TEG and just walked over. This was a really easy option for us since we didn’t have a car. They also provided
us with towels so we didn’t need to bring our own!
