DiliJazz Hotel & Restaurant in Dilijan

We booked Dilijazz Hotel hoping for a relaxing escape, and while there were some enjoyable aspects, the experience overall didn’t quite meet expectations — mostly due to the unprofessional and unwelcoming attitude of some staff members.

It's important to note that this review reflects my personal impressions and priorities, which might differ from others in our working group, as we were staying separately during the visit.

We had a spa session booked, but unfortunately, the staff member attending to us appeared visibly disengaged. She sighed frequently, seemed irritated, and created a rather uncomfortable atmosphere — not ideal for a service meant to help you relax and unwind.

The pool experience was also underwhelming. Although it's officially open until 22:30, we began feeling unwelcome around 20:00, as the staff on duty expressed a desire to leave early. This made us feel like we were intruding rather than being hosted.

The food was average — not bad, but not particularly memorable either. Considering the relatively high prices, we expected something more refined.

On a positive note, the hotel’s location is lovely. It's nestled in a peaceful, green setting, perfect for a break from the city and to enjoy some quiet and nature.

Cleanliness was acceptable — not spotless, but not a major issue either.

While there were aspects of the stay we appreciated, the consistently poor hospitality stood out. For the price point, a higher standard of courtesy and professionalism would be expected. That said, I did notice a response from the hotel administration acknowledging feedback. Should I return in the future and see genuine improvement, I would be happy to update this review accordingly.

We recently returned from an incredible trip to Armenia. While Yerevan was vibrant and full of life, it was our time in Dilijan that truly left a lasting impression—thanks to our stay at DiliJazz Hotel.

Despite the rain during most of our visit, we had a wonderful experience. The hotel is nestled in a perfect location, right by a river and surrounded by the lush beauty of nature. The architecture is a striking blend of creativity and modern design, adding to the charm of the setting.

What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the staff. Words can hardly express our gratitude. Every member of the team was warm, professional, kind, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel was spotless, the food was absolutely delicious (huge compliments to the talented chef!), and the level of service was top-notch. The management clearly pays attention to every detail and treats their guests with care and thoughtfulness.

One moment, in particular, will stay with us forever. When the staff found out we were in Armenia to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday, they went above and beyond. The restaurant surprised us with a live band serenading her with “Happy Birthday,” joined by the entire dining room followed with a special dessert topped with a candle and a stunning fruit plate - all beautifully arranged by Arsen and Liana. It was truly magical and we thank you!
