Mattresses extremely hard and uncomfortable. Felt like cheap mattresses. Laundry facilities fine, but you have to pay for a wash and for a dryer. Front desk is only staffed from 8-7. Given 1 towel/person and you have to pay for more. Freezer of refrigerator awful because it accumulates ice (not frost free) so you can't fit anything in. Cheap/small ice tray to make ice. Toilet paper is not great quality, slightly better than 1 ply. The amenities list "luggage storage," but beware, it is for a daily fee! It is listed twice in the ********** description as an amenity and that is one of the reasons I booked because we were going to travel around Australia for 2 months and then come back, but the fee was outrageous that we found another option for our cruise suitcase.
When you enter the building, even if someone is at the desk, they won't say hello unless you say "hi" first....not very hospitable of them!

On the positive side, it is quiet despite being right on the road and you can't hear any noises from other units. Convenient location to Circular Quay (10-15 min walk). Across the street from Wynyard train station that takes you right to the airport.
If you want no frills, convenient to Circular Quay and Barangaroo this is OK for the money.

Some traffic noise but not overly disruptive.

Staff friendly, but had to visit room to find kettle, and bring an extra hand towel ( no face towels) as 2 persons. Clean room..Excellent map of Sydney CBD but no list in English of nearby cafes and restaurants. Good location.

The room was clean but under the bed wasn’t. The staff were very helpful The location was great and we enjoyed our stay.

The staff here were very friendly and helpful and gave us a free upgrade, which was a nice surprise. The rooms were big clean and had lots of useful facilities. We noticed that some people were complaining about the city noise or traffic noise but those people need to get a job, a life, some friends and a hotel outside of the city if they’re gonna whinge about general city noise while staying in the city. would definitely recommend this place 10 out of 10

Stayed here several times and always a clean well looked after hotel, the lower floors are quieter than the level 4 studio I stayed in this time, but it was still clean

The room looked nothing like the photos. They told me it was a renovated room, everything was white. It felt like a cold hospital. There is so many imperfections in the renovation too. It was like they picked a random person off the street to do the work.

We have many fav features including the location few steps from Wynyard station,light rail, the new big convenience store, Banagaroo, the wharf & multitude of fab resturants & bars .., the hotel is a hidden gem has a simple modern exterior design but the upgraded rooms are just beautiful there spacious & stylish with a contemporary decor … the reception staff are just lovely too…

Where do i start! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. When we rocked up we were made to feel like we were intruding. The beer advertised was no longer available. The lunch menu on table apparently was not offered on the weekends. Everything we ordered was just too hard and complicated. We drank our drinks and even paying the bill was difficult. I was really upset as we had our family from sweden visiting Australia for the first time. We walked out and went into another restaurant called Love fish and were treated like royalty.

I've taken a bit of time to write this review however it's not positive on the whole. Although the food has some decent but not spectacular flavours at George's, the value for money is horrendous. The Valentine's Day 'Special' (if you could call it a special at $130 for two!) is grossly overpriced for relatively small portions of mediocre Mediterranean cuisine. This was back in 2016 so I can only assume prices have increased since then (God forbid!). Definitely won't be coming back.

We had a party of over 20 people and had preselected the banquet but it was not a banquet. By definition, a banquet is an elaborate and formal dinner where there should be lots of food on the table.

We had olives upon arrival (ate within 15 seconds- no refill whilst we waited for other guests). Waited an hour for the first dish to come out which was dip and bread! DIP AND BREAD - it doesn't take an hour to prepare.. (their excuse of "we wait till everyone arrives before we start cooking" We were hangry.) We even played noughts and crosses to entertain ourselves on the paper on the table. Salads served at the end too when we had finished eating most of the meat and seafood dishes.

With all the other restaurants around King St Wharf, this is the first and last time coming here. Not worth the money. How was the food? Had better!
