Very spacious and clean room, bathroom is clean with a big shower. Great view of the CBD. Buffet breakfast okay quality but plenty of variety. Good place to stay for the price range

Fantastic place to stay, close enough to city with a quick tram ride. Room was exactly like room shown in photos. Excellent, staff, Very happy, will stay again.

The room is big enough although a bit dated. The hotel is in a good location with different trams close by and just 15 minutes to the CBD. The gym is present with a fantastic view although very small. Our main issue was the strong cigarette smell for two nights in a row coming from the corridor into our room-we flagged this twice to reception but nothing was really done.

Excellent service on check in. Go the extra mile to make sure your stay is comfortable can even choose your type of pillow you like best. Buffet breakfast was good couldn't have asked for more but dinner in the restaurant was very mediocre. Rooms very clean and comfortable would definitely stay there again but just would not eat dinner in the restaurant next time.

Beautiful venue. Will definitely stay again. Great staff, menus a little too fancy but it's Melbourne there's 100 other places to eat.

The hotel was clean and in a great location for both the city and the coast. What let it down was the bar. It was closed by 9.30 and most of the residents had been at the tennis all day so were’nt back until 9,00. So no ambulance and to far from any where to go elsewhere.

Had a wonderful time at View hotel. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Amenities were all as described. A bit far from CBD but nice area with good food options available.

Great location, very convenient for getting to the city. The facilities are a bit basic, and the service could use some improvement.

I tried to contact reception on at least 6 occasions on the day prior to my arrival to advise of my late arrival.
Not once did anyone answer the phone, nor did they return my call.
As far as service goes it is NON EXISTENT!!

The hotel is walking distance to eateries, and parks. The room is quite spacious. Gym is a bit small but good for light workout

Considering its 6pm Australia time, there isn't much restuarant open a this hour. Here we are, a hidden gem that serve good sushi and bento sets. You are really can't ask for more!

Had some physio at the Alfred not so long ago and instead of the run-of-the-mill style canteen there I decided to drop in and try Cafe La Colline on Commercial Road, just before St Kilda Road. Had a coffee there during my weekly visits over several months to the Alfred and one thing I particularly liked about Cafe La Colline, they always make a good coffee.

I went yesterday around midday hours. The lady who took my order does not know about customer service (It must be the same for all your customers, it doesn't matter if they are wearing a nice suit or not). She was not nice at all, took the wrong order and they didn't apologize for that. Terrible experience!

I found this place just wandering around, sunny outside area, fresh juice and home made banana bread. Wifi access great place to work on a sunny day just in front of fawkner park!

La Colline has had something of a renaissance (pun intended) over the last few years... it had lost its initial charm and quality baked food (that is original French owners brought to the place) and unfortunately the coffee too. But in the last year's this has been turned around (I'm guessing under new ownership). Staff are friendly, food - albeit standard cafe faire - has improved to a reliable level and range and the coffee is good too. It's my daily morning coffee haunt.

Delicious with generous sizings and tasty sweet potato options. Unashamedly unsophisticated but a good place to tame your hunger with potato. Small seating area.

Pretty good food and tasty, quick to get. I think the potatoes and other warm ingredients should have been much warmer. Also my partner had too much sour cream.
