This hotel is absolutely terrible. I stayed in room 808, and the soundproofing was abysmal. I couldn't sleep at night because of the car noise; it felt like I was sleeping on the street. To make matters worse, there was a fire alarm at 4 AM, and we all had to evacuate downstairs in the middle of the night. I had booked from May 1st to May 5th, but I couldn't stand it after just one night and checked out. The location is convenient, but other than the cheap price, everything else was a disaster.

The price is generally reasonable, and the location is good. The only downside is that the room doesn't get any natural light. The housekeeping cleans the room daily, and overall, it offers good value for money. I'd definitely consider staying here again!

Facilities: The soundproofing was quite poor; it was noisy at night. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: Very convenient for dining and shopping, close to the CBD. Service: Housekeeping cleaned daily. Considering the price and the older location, it was already very good.

This hotel is super close to Chinatown and the State Library, and the Chinese restaurant downstairs is absolutely amazing – it was a real craving satisfier after traveling around Australia for over ten days! It's right in the city center, so getting around is incredibly convenient.

The room is clean and location is very convenient within walking distance to many attractions in the city. The buffet breakfast is good value for money and delicious with choices of hot and cold breakfasts. The downside is that the bed is too soft for us. Also unpleasant experience with communication of hotel staff about the offer for a breakfast box in place of paid buffet breakfast which we can decide any time we were back for the day, was denied later saying this should be confirmed before 10pm. There was no follow up call or email despite the documented “unconfirmed” request. Also our request to grab something simple quickly was also rejected saying that it was a sit down breakfast and not supposed for take away. Not being helpful at all.

The location is super convenient, easy to get around by tram or on foot. It's just a 5-minute walk to a large supermarket, Chinatown, various Chinese restaurants, and Asian supermarkets. In 10 minutes, you can walk to Melbourne's busiest shopping street, the CBD area, RMIT, and other attractions. The room is spacious and very comfortable. To find a hotel with such good value for money in the CBD is a real bargain, especially the bedding, which was incredibly comfortable. The only downside is that the bathroom shower had a glass partition but no door, so the floor would get wet after showering, though thankfully there was a floor towel. The Western breakfast was a bit repetitive; it was the same every day for the six days we stayed. However, the hotel service was indeed excellent! When we checked in, the front desk staff, knowing it was our first visit, proactively introduced us to public transport and attractions.

The hotel's location is super convenient! I booked two day tours and the pick-up/drop-off point was just about 100 meters away at the Chinatown archway. There are also plenty of places to eat and convenience stores nearby. When I checked in, the front desk staff was really enthusiastic; seeing it was my first time in Melbourne, they gave me a lot of information, including a map and a guide to tourist attractions. The room was clean and tidy, exceeding my expectations.

we had the last sitting at 9pm. my husband had set 3 and i had set 4, both were amazing and very filling. (although both sets said miso soup, we did not receive it) the environment is really nice, the only thing i found disappointing was our chef was not very interactive with anyone, didnt speak at all until the end when he asked us if we wanted to play a game. i was expecting some tricks whilst cooking, maybe some conversation to make it less awkward at the table as you sit with strangers. but overall a great experience.

Disappointing all round. Hired the private room at the back and their service was terrible. The waitress was looking at her phone all night in the corner and we had ask for everything, which appeared to be a massive effort for her. The manager was rude on arrival and delayed us a half an hour even though the room was clearly empty and ready. Set menu was tiny we all left hungry and the chef did nothing but a couple of games at the end. No atmosphere or entertainment the whole night and nobody seemed to care. Expensive price to pay for a terrible night out. Do not go! the only way they will make an effort is if they start getting quiet in there.

Food is good, but overpriced.
Really small portions, only for people either not hungry or with a petite stomach.

When asked the waitress for bread... she needed to ask the chef??
After five minutes she comes back saying the they do not serve bread during lunch time...

The dessert, chocolate fondant with ice cream, was smaller than a kids size meal.

Come back? no sir, thank you very much.

My brother had his wedding here on the weekend. They have excellent customer service, the set up of the restaurant is beautiful. Unfortunately a couple of dishes were not as nice as the others.

Got there at 6:35 PM and had to be at a show accross the road at 8. Were told we would easily fit 2 courses in by that time so we sat down. We ordered mains AND dessert at 6:45 and didnt get our drinks for 15 minutes and mains arrived at 7:25 the medium steak was below average considering the great reviews. Our table was left cluttered with wine glasses we didnt use and noone came to check on us or clear our table. We ended up paying and walking out before desert came. Only reason its a 3/5 is because the staff were very nice and took dessert off the bill.

Overall wont be returning.

Great venue!! Decent audio quality and good for varied audiences and occasions. Bar up the back had plenty of seats and the area near the stage can be used in many different configurations - to suit dancing or calmer events. Staff were friendly and cloaking was easy. It was a little tricky to find and not the most accessible venue given the stairs.
