Think twice before booking here. It's really no comparison to hotels back home. The facilities are very basic, so it's fine if you just need a place to crash for a night. However, the location is quite good, right at the entrance of Chinatown, making it convenient to get anywhere.

It was suitable for it's purpose (overnight stay with an early morning leave) and the bed was clean and comfortable. However the room was much smaller than was advertised and the bathroom needed upgrading. The main reason for my score not reaching "8" was the fact that I had to clean the kitchen before leaving - which takes time unnecessarily, and almost defeats the purpose of renting a motel room. Overall, the stay was great, offside assistance was excellent and they provided complimentary water and chocolates - bonus!

We stayed here with our two young children. We arrived after 8pm and check in took 45min. The room we were given was beyond disgusting. The sheet on the bed had not been changed and the wall was covered in semen. The smoke detector had been pulled out the room and there was evidence of smoking. The manager eventually agreed to a refund. We have still not received this money, nor have we received the $150 deposit. This room was a safety hazard. I would not recommend this hotel. They are now privately ran and not part of the Accor chain. Avoid at all costs!!!

Located in business area of melbourne CBD surrounded by office buildings and luxury brand shops. In 1 bedroom unit there are kitchen with fridge and a portion of small freezer, microwave, a tall dining table with 2 chairs, washer&dryer, TV and sofa. In bedroom there is large closet inside there are iron and iron board and spare quilt. Office hours 8am-8pm, but somedays we found no staff before 7.50pm. No cleaning service during 5 night stay.

Family trip with 3 rooms booked for a 6 night stay. All rooms were advertised as a bed and breakfast rate. On arrival was advised that there was no restaurant facility but breakfast condiments (some form of continental breakfast) would be provided to our rooms. This never happened. The nominal cost for breakfast was not deducted from the room rate. No daily room servicing and room was not overly clean. Would not stay here again.

We arrived to be greeted with a welcoming smile, check in was swift and hotels facilities explained. The room was on the upper level thanks to our unexpected upgrade. The room was well appointed with a top city view. It was warm and well set out. The bed was large with a lot of pillows to choose from. Excellent shower and bathroom facilities. We enjoyed our stay.

I booked isnspite of all rhe bad reviews abt cleanliness.
I had no issues with smell nor cleanliness apart from horrible kettle and stained iron box. Room was clean and comfortable.
This hotel is Definitley not 4 star.
Seen better ibis styles. The biggest problem is the quality of people. All the partying youths . Idiots were having a full blast at 3:30am and I had to call the hotel. Being unattended at night you get poor quality of people. Look at the video recorded at 3:30am.

Food is good, but overpriced.
Really small portions, only for people either not hungry or with a petite stomach.

When asked the waitress for bread... she needed to ask the chef??
After five minutes she comes back saying the they do not serve bread during lunch time...

The dessert, chocolate fondant with ice cream, was smaller than a kids size meal.

Come back? no sir, thank you very much.

My brother had his wedding here on the weekend. They have excellent customer service, the set up of the restaurant is beautiful. Unfortunately a couple of dishes were not as nice as the others.

Got there at 6:35 PM and had to be at a show accross the road at 8. Were told we would easily fit 2 courses in by that time so we sat down. We ordered mains AND dessert at 6:45 and didnt get our drinks for 15 minutes and mains arrived at 7:25 the medium steak was below average considering the great reviews. Our table was left cluttered with wine glasses we didnt use and noone came to check on us or clear our table. We ended up paying and walking out before desert came. Only reason its a 3/5 is because the staff were very nice and took dessert off the bill.

Overall wont be returning.

We have visited HuTong's a number of times. The food is excellent there however the service can be patchy and rather unfriendly. We usually are directed up to the third level which is very nice. The Maître d' is most welcoming but the upstairs Staff rather disinterested. Hence the 4 Star rating. An irritation is that when you book you are immediately told that you MUST be out by .... whatever time. An amusing thing to watch for is that one of the waitresses takes our orders, usually 6 or 7 of us without taking any notes or writing anything down. She gets it correct every time!!! Amazing!

Awesome spot for reasonably priced, really high quality Chinese food, close enough to the main city attractions. The customer service is also unbelievably good, really impressive. Definitely get a booking if you plan on going, as even on a Monday night, it's quite busy.

Awesome spot. A group of 8 came out, dinner was fantastic and their wine list was very reasonable (ps. The wine list years are not correct!)
The only downside were we were on the highest level, so had to walk up 3 flights of steps, if you’re not keen on all the steps ask for a lower floor

Another hidden gem in Chinatown. I have been on a dumpling bender lately as have had friends visiting. This place has been a stand out. Apart from not being able to fault foos or service the variety was phenomenal. I have never tried duck or crab dumpling before but will be searching for them on menu's in the future. Eat here now

Upon presentation of the entertainment book voucher, the head waiter with the glasses had the audacity to laugh at my face loudly. That was completely unprofessional and would explain the other 1 star reviews on the restaurant.

Truly excellent Italian, a table of four couldn't fault a single item. BYO wine which is great for in the city, recommend a later booking if you want a relaxing experience as can get very busy with pre theatre.

Yesterday was the second time I’ve eaten here before a show. We allowed plenty of time. I ordered an entree and a side dish. My husband ordered a pasta main. We enjoyed our meal however my side dish never arrived. When I asked they said well do you still want it. I did. It failed to come quickly and only arrived without time for me to finish it. The first time we went there with 4 people before a show one dish failed to turn up.. I’ll try somewhere else next time
