The Westin Melbourne in Melbourne

As a five star hotel and the cost of the stay would have expected more. Pro of the hotel: location was good and most attraction was easily accessible. Breakfast had quite a good varieties compared to other hotels I had stayed in Australia.
Cons: Most of the sockets was spoiled even the toilet one and only 2 power point was working. The 2 power point that was working the electricity will be cut off whenever we tried to off the lights in the room. One of the lights near the bed could not be switched off unless we switched off the master light. And switching off the master light will result in the 2 remaining socket that is working to malfunction. In the end, we had to sleep with the light on for the 3 nights of our stay. Had feedback after our first night to the housekeeping staff and they said had to notify the maintenance as they are not in charge of the switches. But nothing was done. Wanted to call the reception to notify but the phone was not working. So the 3rd day afternoon, we inform the reception counter, was told that they will send an electrician to check but again no one came to check. As a five star hotel, would have expected more efficiency in solving this kind of issue, especially that traveller will need electrical point to charge our devices in this era. Lastly, during our check out, there was no mention of extra charges that was incurred during our stay and no receipt was also provided. Overall, very disappointed with our stay in Westin.
