We had an amazing stay at Malerhaus during new year’s and my birthday. We actually stayed a night extra to be able to enjoy our holiday just a bit longer.

The hotel was fully booked and the staff was busy, but they did an amazing job, were kind and always helpful.

For me it was the first time staying in a hotel and it’s been one of the best weeks in Zillertal I’ve had, and I’ve been there 23 times now.

The half board was amazing. Lots of breakfast options and dinner was very good too. On the 31th we had a great evening where the staff prepared a gala dinner, made the terrace cosy and set off fireworks.

The wellness at the top floor was the best. I’ve loved it so much being able to warm up after a snowy day in the pool with a beautiful view of the mountains or in one of the saunas. I also had a great massage.

The room was very spacious and comfortable.

The location is also very convenient if, like us, you want to spend your days snowboarding in the different areas. The hotel is right on the main road.

We will definitely come back.

Located next to the road to Kaltenbach, Arena and Mayrhofen you find this family hotel. Very good service and very well equiped with fitness room, sauna en rooftop pool.

Very nice suites. Clean and huge! Modern fitness room with high-quality equipment! Excellent food, excellent service, owner friendly and very helpful. Ideal for families. Pizzeria in the building. Bicycle cellar, ski room, parking, everything there. Wellness area with 360° view over the Zillertal on the roof! Wonderful pool with counter-current system and bubble seats. Elevator leads to every floor.

nice hotel with a good price and quality ratio. The staff is friendly and helpful. the rooms are neat and clean. the wellness on the roof is fantastic. across the street from the hotel is the bus stop and the train station, so you can easily reach all ski areas in the Zillertal in winter.

An unexpected gem of a hotel in Fügen.

Stayed in their newly refurbished terrace room and it is luxury and worth it to have a private lounge and terrace to stretch out after a day on the slopes.

The steam room, sauna, and infra red on the 5th floor is fantastic to enjoy. Never felt crowded.

Breakfast buffet is extensive with a fresh juicing machine too and the option of eggs how you like them to order. Dinner for half board/ half pension is delicious with a choice of 3 mains, a great salad bar, soup options, and cheeses. Plus all the kinds of bread you could want.

The hotel staff are amazing. They are the cherry on top of this fantastic place. So helpful and friendly at any time of day.

Convenient to the train station and ski bus stop. This is the only downside of this fantastic hotel is its distance from the slopes but then again you have to catch a bus or train to all resorts unless you are staying in Mayrhofen then you're spoilt for choice. So you may as well stay somewhere awesome and deal with the transport to the snow

Pros:
Overall this hotel is good in my opinion, the location is great for Zillertal adventures and you can get on the main road in no time. We didn't have problem with road noise because our room was facing the other way.
The breakfast is great in my opinion, it has everything you need and they even have a fresh juice machine where you can make your own apple or carrot juice. The staff is very nice as well and the reception even helped us book a rafting tour since the company we wanted to book the rafting to was speaking only German.
Overall a good hotel if you're looking to explore Zillertal.

Cons:
We had to ask for soaps a few times since the house-keeping did not fill them even though we stayed there for 10 nights.
