Hotel Neuhintertux in Tux

We spent 7 days at the Hotel Neuhintertux in the middle of September. It was quiet as the ski season had not yet begun, and temperatures were well above seasonal average. We hadn't planned to ski so this wasn't an issue. We've been here a few times before, but not in the last 8 years. The hotel is excellently maintained, with evidence of a lot of refurbishment. Our room was well designed with a great bathroom and view down the valley. The restaurant was excellent and the staff very friendly. We spent our days walking and using the free local bus service, and our evenings enjoying a relaxing drink in the bar. We look forward to coming back!

I stayed in Neuhintertux for five nights with my wife and two of my children during February half term week. I wanted to be close to the ski lifts and Hintertux offers high altitude skiing options which should mean snow sure conditions. We weren't lucky with the weather but the hotel was great. We like family run hotels and personal service goes a long way. The hotel has a pool, spa and a very nice bar and we were well looked after by Patrick who makes very good cocktails and is a thoroughly nice chap. The hotel had high standards for dinner the food was really good every day and again the welcome you get is fantastic, Gerhardt really takes take of you and always puts a smile on your face. If you like wine this is a great hotel to stay at with superb wines available Stefan will take care of you and recommended a superb red wine and went to the trouble of decanting it in the morning ready for my evening meal. It's those small differences that go a long way to making me enjoy my stay. The hotel has a good ski locker and there is a hire shop next door should you need to rent equipment. We caught the bus to Mayrhofen on one day to visit one of our favourite mountain restaurants and as expected the ski area was absolutely rammed. My only concern about Hinterux was the resort may not offer a large enough ski area for a stay of six days skiing. It really does and the lack of dangerous crowding during the half term week does make the area worth a visit. You won't have the variety of bars and the apre ski bar across the road only stays open until around 7pm but that was fine for us. We don't tend to go out too much after skiing and usually stay in our hotel so this suited us. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and wish to extend our thanks to the Tipotsch family for hosting us. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

very good location, right next to the glacier cable car station and apres ski bars. cosy, very pleasant alpine style hotel with attentive staff and great food. you can spend evenings in the bar by the fireplace and a professional and very nice bartender will make the best drinks😁very good Place

Excellent location, very friendly staff. very good breakfast and dinner. Perfect wellness zone including swimming pool and sauna with beautiful views. We realy enjoy our stay.

It’s rare to find a good hotel with excellent staff, fair prices, good location, of the roof service and fabulous food… Hotel Neu Hintertux is on of these hotels 😍 You got to try it - go there in the summer, hiking or skiing… it’s just at the lift to the gletcher - or go there in the winter for skiing. Great restaurant, nice bar and a fair, and free, spa with different saunas on the second and third floor 🛁 I three days I haven’t heard the word “no” - I’m sorry… only “yes - off course 👏🏼

Great stay. Tipotsch family runs the hotel and the services exeptionally good.

As usually, it was a great pleasure for us to stay again in NeuHintertux Hotel.
We have had a really wonderful room, which we enjoyed indeed very much.
The 3/4 pension (board) was traditionally generous and well varied.
We liked very much the premises and facilities in the hotel.
And naturally, world apart constantly stays the wellness centre with the exceptional swimming pool which we loved a lot.

Everything was perfect, the quality and variety of the food for dinner and breakfast, the quality and diversity of the wellness space, the quality and proximity of the ski area and the kindness and wellcoming of the staff!
I warmly recommend this place for both relaxing and winter sports stay !

> location is simply amazing, few steps away from the ski facilities - that alone is worth the stay
> structure and rooms are in line with a 4star hotel, maybe a bit old. Best part of our room was the toilet, recently renovated with a large and comfortable shower. Worst part: the bed sheets, as just one "spongy" layer was in between the mattress and our body. Normally you have one more above (usually matching the upper/heavier covering layer).
> services are good, the indoor pool with outdoor jacuzzi being the highlight
> food is below average (for a 4star in this price range) with the breakfast being just OK and the dinner quite disappointing. For instance, I'm still trying to figure out what "nut flavoured potato pasta" is... They kept using it as a side for meat and it really had no taste at all
> staff is kind even though we had some troubles talking to them as very few spoke English. Not a big deal anyway. What was a bit annoying is that the cleaning staff was not knocking on the door before entering the room

Would I go back? Probably yes, just for the location.
