Sonnenhof in Zell am Ziller

Top experience that deserves 5 stars ! Hotel is perfect for family, without being a specific family hotel but a classy, brand new SPA resort. The team is friendly and the service outstanding. Every detail is managed and every corner is clean: SPA, Pool and three internal and external playground. Garage is enormous and lobby and bar brand new. Last but not least the food: breakfast is fresh and VERY rich, and dinner smart and high quality. Super !

We had a great stay at Sonnenhof with our family. The hotel is beautifully renovated and offers excellent facilities for both adults and children.

We highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the new rooms which were lovely. The spa, pool, sauna area was lovely. The food and service was excellent. The ski bus picks you up and drops you at the door. Excellent.

We have just returned from a lovely break for half term. The hotel is in a good location, just a 5 minute walk from the main lift in Zell am Ziller and there are regular ski buses which we used with our 5 year old! The hotel itself is lovely, our suite in the Country House building was beautiful and there is a lovely mix of traditional and modern Austrian style. Absolutely spotless, great pool and Spa, although the outdoor pool was a bit chilly for me, but our kids loved it! Very family friendly with great games area in the basement and the staff were great with the children and we felt fine to let them roam. We were half board and we found the food to be very good, lots of choice for breakfast and really good cuisine in the evening. The hotel produces its own wine and it was very nice and along with other drinks very reasonably priced. We were very sad to leave and would not hesitate to return.
I found Zell am Ziller to be a very charming resort. It was busy in the morning as it was half term, but we expected this and in any case, really liked it and found it to be excellent value. I skied a day here in mid January this year and there was not a queue in sight.We didn’t get the chance to explore beyond Gerlos this time, as our youngest was in am and pm lessons and the journey each way is circa 40 minutes leaving us tight for time to get back to collect. Plenty to go at for experienced skiers though! A brilliant holiday and thank you to all at the Sonnenhof from Familie Barnard!

First time stay at Ferienhotel Sonnehof. From arrival to departure cannot find fault with anything associated with the hotel. Warm welcome. Comfortable room. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Good choice of food both for breakfast and evening meal. Enjoyed the entertainment that was arranged for 2 nights. Ideal situtaion for expoloring the surrounding areas.

We stay here for the third time but for the first time we had chosen for a new appartment in the landhouse across the hotel. This place was fantastic. what a lovely room, very clean, with a great bathroom and view from the balcony. Perfect. Everything is perfect; friendly people, good service, good food, a nice swimming pool outside with a view (also an indoor Spa) and a perfect location for your holiday. Thanks for everything.

What a beautiful hotel and breathtaking area. Perfect for families with kids.
There is a playground, pool and even animals you can pet.
