Where to stay in Vienna

Good location just outside Innere Stadt and close to the metro. The hotel is beautiful and amenities were nice for the most part. We stayed during winter and the heat was cranked way too high inside the room, so we kept windows open most of the nights. We stayed in the small room with a king bed, which I can only recommend a small room if you are traveling solo or do not bring more than 1 carry on...

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! A real gem in Vienna. The location is great - close to transport and the neighbourhood of Spittelberg - but also walkable to the old town and Ringstrasse. The hotel itself is really well designed, the staff are great and the room was warm and cosy for our winter trip. Breakfast is fantastic - so much variety and all really nice food. We had a blast.

Friendly staff! But amenities are poor. There are no slippers in the room and furniture is dusty. There is a strange smell in the room. Overall, ok for price. Located far from the center, you need to take a train and walk for 10-15 minutes

This hotel is an art deco gem with fantastic, friendly vibes. We booked the Ideale Plus Deluxe Double Room and it was charming, spacious, and comfortable. The pillows are like sleeping on a cloud. There was a complimentary bottle of wine in the room, and it was very clean. The bathroom doesn't do much to mask any sounds, so if you're not at that level yet with your partner, it's something to consider...

The room is reasonably clean, but let down by old, low-grade furnishings. It is also clearly a partitioned space, as it lacks a proper door frame. A major downside is the lack of air-con, which caused the room to become unpleasantly stuffy, if you do not turn on the fan. The hotel was nice by European standards. The rooms kind of dark they need a better View. It is centrally located there are restaurants nearby. This was the worst hotel of our trip. It's an old building, completely shabby. The rooms are so tiny that they barely fit suitcases. They're dusty and dirty. The air conditioning is noisy, the building is old, and there's a tiny elevator attached that only fits two people, which is also used by the hotel staff. There aren't a single hook in the bathrooms, no dental supplies, no room to turn around...

This is the most comfortable hotel in Europe with the best service attitude and the friendliest service staff! Good location, super delicious breakfast, unlimited coffee and tea in the room, and room service. The location is fantastic. 5 minutes to the opera and the Heidi Horton Museum. 10 minutes' walk to the museum district. A couple of minutes to the metro. Room: high ceilings, very spacious. The location is very close to the Golden Hall. The room was old, and I forgot to check out at 11 am. When I returned around 1 pm, I was asked to pay 60 euros. The attitude was very cold and there was no room for negotiation. Other hotels didn't have this problem. And there was no prior notice. The next hotel I stayed at didn't have this issue at all.

I would not consider this a 4 star hotel. The room we were given was not very clean and had noticable wear and tear. The location was okay and the amenities lacking. We did not feel safe leaving our luggage in a oversized cupboard, that didn't have a key and was easily accessible by anyone who walked in to the hotel. I will not be staying here again.

The hotel is 2 metro stations away from Vienna Main Station. It is also walkable within 15min. There is a shopping street nearby which I like it as I can find food and needed stuff. My room is big enough for solo traveller, not too cramp. There is a big table for me to do my work which is good. The only downside is the hotel don't provide free water, will need to get bottled water from supermarket...

Clean, stylish, quiet. The only negative (and I'm nitpicking here) is that the room could've done with more storage, such as drawers. We were in a loft room, with plenty of space for a larger wardrobe or chest of drawers. Such a small room is in the attic, there is no window to open, even a crack, it is stuffy, but it costs 2,000 yuan a night, which is unbelievable. In China, such a room is only within 500 yuan even in the city center. In addition, the hotel is on a slope, and it is inconvenient to walk up some stairs with luggage.
