We visited Blago for AUBG reunion, obviously. First time we were in this hotel. The room is big, the bed is quite comfortable. The bathroom is a little small I think, but does the work. What we did not like very much is the food. I mean it could be more hot and more offers. I think if you come late, like around 10 then you literally don't have what to eat and it is quite cold. However, when you get at 7-8 it is quite ok, you have cheese, some ham, eggs, jogurt. What we liked a lot is the SPA area, it is not very big but it works. The jakuzzi is quite amazing, there are 2 kinds of saunas- finland and turkish, so there is something to choose. The hotel area is ok, is clean, some paintings on the walls. Looks pleasant. The parking is outside, you have to pay 6 euros per day, but is fine actually. Maybe they can arrange some free parking in some other place, you should ask. The location of the place is quite premium, right in the center of the city, next to big central square, close to all interesting places like All Stars, Underground and eating places like Verde, Frame etc.

The hotel is in the city center right next to the park, the rooms are clean and warm enough. The spa center is nice, clean....the thermal pool is not big, but the water was very pleasant both in the pool and in the jacuzzi. On the days we stayed there was no crowd at all. The breakfast was not too rich but everything was enough and tasty. The staff was very kind and helpful. We will come again.

Excellent choice in Blagoevrad. The hotel need renovation ASAP ! The location is unique but that is not enough. I have stay more than 10 times (3-7
Days per time), today was my last time that I choose that hotel .

Expensive and very messy it has insects (ants) the breakfast was very poor and the bath was leaking water and the ventilation of the kitchen was going in the rooms

Spa wasn't working, only pull and one sauna of the three. We were fully charged, and there was a mouse in the shower! The place was not clean, we didn't get robes only towels, and it was hard to get an extra one when one was too wet. The place was not clean, poor value for your money, keep away!

I have been to blagoevgrad in November 2023 and stayed at Monte Cristo hotel. The hotel is wonderful, the staff is very helpful, polite and friendly. The spa and the pools are amazing 😍 I had the best holiday ever. The location is perfect,near the mall and in a wonderful central square. All shorts of shops are around and you can find open shops even on Sundays. There is a museum nearby that you must visit. I recommend the hotel it's value for money. Thank you Mr Kristo for everything, thank you Emilia and all the staff that make my holiday perfect.

If you ever happen to be in Blagoevgrad you should definitely visit Monte Cristo hotel. I've experienced the best holiday ever. The staff is very helpful, nice and friendly people. Emilia in the front desk at the reception is absolutely amazing. The facilities are the best, there is a pool and thermal spa, everything was Great..the room, the view, the location of the hotel...the mall is near. I want to thank everyone who made this holiday exceptional. My regards to Mr Cristo we thank you for everything.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel, not worth the money at all. We felt scammed.

Good things:
- Nice service. The girl in reception was very kind.
- Breakfast was alright.
- Rooms were comfortable (not 4 stars though)

Reasons to never ever come back:

- Everything in the spa was closed, except swimming pool. They said the reason was corona, but there was no info about it when making the reservation. We basically payed for a spa we couldn't use.
- Breakfast was supposed to start at 8:00 and started at 8:25.
- The TV didn't work properly.
- There was a big bug on the room, and a little bug on the bathtub.
- The owner patted me on the neck. He was trying to be friendly but I don't think it's ok to touch customers like that.

I seriously have no idea how this can be a 4 star property. Apparently they clean the rooms every _other_ day. In a 4 star hotel? Really?

When you enter the room, the air is super humid. The window sill is covered in black mold. The AC does work (after you plug it in) so in due time the humidity eases. In the bathroom the hot water takes 5 minutes to come in. And then smells like rotten eggs. I understand there are hot springs which is fine for the spa but not something you want to shower with...

And then there are the little things. The dirty carpet, no sheets over the box spring which has gotten dirty with use and looks disgusting. No switch to turn off the night lights anywhere near the bed. No partition in bathroom so when taking a shower the whole bathroom gets wet. The anemic towels...

The building does look great on the outside but inside it had a distinctly unfinished and awkward feel.

Great experience. Lovely hotel, quality spa zone, amazing and kind staff.
Indeed, the sulfur water has a weird smell, which is naturally biologically expected and those who complain clearly had no idea. Yet it is truly healthy and the i fo and warnings of it are posted everywhere. People should simply do some reading before booking.
The restaurant menu is a bit short but it is understandable since they just opened and its covid19 dead turism period.
Good for families with kids and babies.
p.s. The delux room is lovely, I think best deal for space-price-bath (ours had a djakuzi which we used only as bath due to technical disruption.
Also the apartments are nice too. Single, basic rooms arent worth it IMO. Has many relax areas and conference room plus place for kids. A proper 4 star hotel.
