Decent hotel with reasonable price. Location is good - hotel situates near beach and shopping streets. Little disturbing was that sunbeds around the pools were always occupied (reserved with towels etc) and nobody did not seem to care. Pool bar was nice. Rooms are very clean.

people working at the reception are rude and incompetent especially the blonde and overweight receptionist with glasses such people should never work in a hotel. the room I ordered did not meet the order instead of twin bad I got single the receptionist's answer is none of our business...

We had a lovely time at Hotel Lion as a group of 3 in August 2024. The hotel is lovely and clean, our room was spacious and comfortable with a pool view, balcony was a bit small but was still nice. Food was varied and delicious at all meal times, however at breakfast it was especially busy and sometimes hard to find a table to sit at. The pool snack bar had excellent food choices and the food was quick to arrive. The hotel staff were friendly most of the time but some seemed a bit unbothered or like they didn’t want to be there at times, but friendly enough. I wish there was music around the pool area, it would be a nice touch, however there is music at the pool snack bar. There is not enough sun loungers for all of the guests and we had to go down at 7am each morning to ensure we got 3 sun loungers together. The hotel is in a great location and not a long walk to get to the main ***** of Sunny Beach and the beautiful beach. Overall, this hotel is great and I would definitely recommend staying here on your trip to Sunny Beach!

The hotel had a good location, and the food at the hotel was quite okay. There were issues with check-in, as it starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 PM. The staff spoke very little English, which is somewhat understandable. When we checked into the room, the air conditioning didn’t work. The staff said they would send a technician, who claimed to have checked the room but couldn’t fix it. We spoke with the travel agency, and they arranged a room change with the hotel, plus we were supposed to get a fan in the room as a temporary solution. We checked to see if this was the case and were told that they couldn’t provide a fan, but the new room would be ready the next day. The next day, we went to the reception and met a receptionist who was very rude and simply said he couldn’t help, that it wasn’t possible to change rooms, and he completely ignored me.

Hotels restaurant is too small for all the guests. All the table are full at breakfast and there is lots of noise and people. It wasn't a relaxing breakfast at all. There is three Coffee machines in a restaurant, but it takes ages to get your Coffee. Elevator is really slow and we ended up walking to 5th floor almost every time. Do not leave any open food products on the floor as there will be an army of ants in it at the morning. The sunbeds are reserved with a towels before 10 am so be early if you want to have a spot. The best part of the Hotel is that its located only 500 meters from the Beach. Two sunbeds and a pafasol costs 27 BGN and if you wants, there is also free spots on a Beach where you can go with your own towel. Most of the tourists in Bulgaria is from Russia, also in this Hotel. Bulgarians are not as fluent in English as they are in Russian.

on our second day here we arrived back to the hotel our room door was left wide open by housekeeping, no safe in the room so meant our valuables couldn’t Be properly stored away. NO ENTERTAINMENT- no atmosphere, nothing to do, the pool is the only source of entertainment - no music no bands, nothing. I’m not picky with food but even I couldn’t find anything to eat - there is no variety and was the same the whole time we were there. Room however was clean - but had to make our own beds up a few times that week. Duvet cover and pillow cases was left for us to make up ourselves which wasn’t ideal but we wasn’t too bothered. Not enough sun lounges, never really got to sit out due to them not catering enough for the capacity of the hotel. We didn’t let this stop us from having a good holiday but it was a little upsetting as this was our first time in Bulgaria. Overall it was okay but unfortunately me and my partner wont be returning.

Although the room was clean, the food was cold and not a lot of choice. We complained about stone cold chips & luke warm food but nothing was acknowledged or done about it. I know we were there at the start if the season but it's unacceptable and dangerous

The hotel is not bad. The only negative is that if you arrive early in the morning after a sleepless night, you can leave your luggage, but you can count on check-in only after 14:00, so poor guests with or without children are forced to sit in a semi-conscious state until that hour.

The whole trip the A/C was not working. We told the front desk multiple times but they rolled their eyes and laughed and cut us off. They said it had been fixed Even though it was still not working. The staff was rude in my opinion and the hotel dosen’t fit the 4-star rating. The buffet was ok, a bit boring, with only 4 different meals at dinner
