Reviews
First of all, this isn’t really a hotel in the conventional sense. More accurately, it’s an office building, with half of its rooms rented out to various companies. The lobby reflects this as well — the reception desk is not open or welcoming, but rather separated from guests by a giant pane of glass, reminiscent of a train station ticket booth from decades ago. There are two small holes, about 15 cm in diameter, cut into the glass: guests have to bend down to hand over their passports through these holes for inspection, receive their keys the same way, and then press their ears to the openings to hear the receptionist’s instructions about things like breakfast hours. Both both staff and guests are forced to raise their voices in order to be understood.
The main issues in the room centered on the bathroom: there were visible traces from the previous guest left in the toilet, the towels were dark, stiff, and stained, and the main showerhead was broken… All of this makes it hard to believe this is supposed to be a four-star hotel.
To top it off, I happened to be there when the hotel rented out the ground-floor restaurant to host a big party. The pounding disco music went on non-stop until 1 a.m., and even the soft mattress in the room was shaking from the bass.
Of course, if you want to contact the front desk to make a complaint, the phone in the room doesn’t work. You’ll have to get dressed, go downstairs, stand in front of the giant glass, bend down, and raise your voice through one of the little holes over the counter to talk to the receptionist…
If you’re okay with all that, then this hotel could be a good choice for you.
Nice location and free parking.
It was pretty small, and even though it was on the fifth floor had bars on the windows rather like being in a deluxe prison cell. (I imagine) The bathroom was a wet room. Everything was very clean and the single bed was large and comfortable.
It has at least two restaurants both of which were closed for dinner and not near the centre of town so there's not much nearby apart from Plaza Mall's food court.
It's very inexpensive and you get what you pay for.
The WiFi is very weak and low speed. There were nail clippings and hairs in the bathroom, which I consider a severe hygiene violation. During check out I had to wait for the receptionist to finish a 5-minute call.
