Reviews
Pros:
- the staff (especially the maître d' and smiley Tetiana) were very nice, helpful and polite
- it has its own very clean pool area with chairs and umbrellas and adjacent (pay to use) sports areas (tennis, table tennis, etc)
Cons:
- it's advertised as a 4-star hotel on Booking.com, but it shouldn't have more than 2 stars for reasons I'll state underneath
- the bedsheets are paper-thin, scratchy and don't cover the mattress properly; the only way you could have them stay in place is if you sleep like a mummy, completely immobile, otherwise they bunch up immediately and you sleep straight on the bare mattress
- the electricity in the room gets turned off with the removal of the key from its slot - this means that you can't leave anything charging (phone, tablet, ebook reader, etc), you can't leave anything in the fridge because it will go bad, and you can't leave the air conditioner on to come back to a non-boiling hot room
- the fridge is in a small cupboard which has to be kept open or there is a risk of fire or damage to the fridge (which you might be asked to pay for)
- the food has very little variety and it's quite bland, like canteen/cafeteria food. Some of it is very clearly cooked from frozen, and not the fancy kind of frozen. Had I paid for all inclusive, I would have been sorely disappointed. The salads and the desserts were the same for all 3 nights I spent there.
- the drinks were also very bland and they came from 2 machines, a coffee machine and a soda/juice dispenser. You know the drinks at IKEA? Think that, but with half the flavour or less. There were a few bottled drinks, but I think you had to pay for them (not sure about the people who got all inclusive).
- it wasn't close enough to the beach to have its own area, so you will have to hunt and pay for an umbrella and sun loungers. Helpful tip: if you go at midday, make sure you are lathered in sun cream or in the 10-15 minutes it takes to find a place, you will burn like a marshmallow dropped in a fire pit.
Unfortunately it doesn't live up to the expectations I had from the photos people posted. I imagine they must've been hit pretty hard by Covid, because it's clear that they are trying to offer good service and have done so in the past. Maybe a year from now things will have improved and I'll change my review if I go back.
No good breakfast. They have pool but the location is not so nice.
All Bulgarians in the hotel industry is not competent.
Was in the middle of September. The end of the season was felt. Little people, come rant in the morning, but settled all the same in 14.
Room good, balcony is huge.
But.
But shower accessories, a wicker basket is not present cable and ragged that I wanted to immediately throw it out. In the garbage pail was not garbage bags! The water in the shower did not immediately left, but Penn stood in the pan.
The food was not luxurious, but normal, was delicious. The restaurant tech the ceiling, in the middle of the room stood a pail.
People who came before, said that foods had more.
The outside pool was not a lot of people.
I asked at the reception to give me a room in a quiet location. I lived on the second floor where my balcony was periodically involved with a snarl, the General conditioning. At first it drove me crazy. Then somehow adapted.
In the last days, or rather nights, the staff in General is brain lost. My room was 101, and near the Elevator was room 100. There after 23 hours began wildly loud music.
Said connexion at the reception. A zero response.
The night before leaving I went into this room, so they're even not hear a knock! Disco!
There was some woman from the staff walked in and told them. Made quieter. But you didn't. Horrible attitude! Just a shame.
