Reviews
The hotel is absolutely stunning, from the exterior to the rooms. Every detail feels intentional and cozy without being cold or impersonal.
The service was exceptional across the board. Valet, guest services, room service, and the front desk staff were all kind, attentive, and made the entire check-in and check-out process seamless. We were even surprised with a complimentary room upgrade when we return later in the week, which made our stay feel extra special. Thank you, Alejandra!
The room was neat, clean, and the bed was by far the best sleeping experience we have ever had in a hotel. We both have issues getting good rest during our past hotel stays and were amazed at how well we slept the entire visit. When we needed something, we often dealt with Arezo and Elodie at the front desk, who were both incredibly kind, sweet and helpful (especially after the magnets in my airpods case wiped my room key, multiple times), assisted us with everything we needed. Part of our Montreal trip was for a Visa appointment, and by the end of the trip they were the first ones we saw and both immediately asked about the results. Truly amazing humans that we appreciated very much.
Both restaurants in the hotel are fantastic. We often attended Brasseire 701 in the morning for breakfast and ate at Kyo Bar Japonias twice. My fiancée and I made quick friends with Melissa, she was incredibly pleasant to be around, we were so disappointed we didn't get to say goodbye but if she ever sees this, we hope to see you in California soon!!! Special shoutout to Gavin as well who came in clutch multiple times!
Near the end of the trip, we had a sudden leak in our bathroom. Nothing major considering the building is well over 100 years old. The front desk immediately sent their maintenance team to look, and upon inspection, it was determined it would be a while to repair, and almost immediate after the front desk was called, and offered to upgrade us free of charge to a larger suite, as well as offering to assist with moving bags and packing. We declined cause we were leaving the following day, and had to start packing anyway but it was another example of the amazing, quality service we experienced.
Ricardo personally helped us get to our new suite, gave us a tour of our new room and helped move bags into the new room. Afterwards, he had another round of room service sent with champagne with a hand written note. He was incredibly easy going and much like Soso, made sure we had everything we needed for our last night.
Truthfully, we didn't want to leave by the end. We felt so spoiled by the whole staff, it was an amazing experience that I very much look forward to when we visit Montreal again. There is not another hotel I would ever consider staying at.
Finally, special shoutout to Ale, you're an amazing person, we're so appreciative of you and hope you can get out of the cold as soon as possible!!!!
We stayed wondering what did Michelin award them a key for, but overall a pleasant experience!

Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
Offers great Dim Sum, a very popular destination in Chinatown. Often packed on weekends for Dim Sum, this ensure freshness, and shows how many people appreciate the food here!
Equally good is the A la carte dining outside of Dim Sum hours. Portions are generous, and the food delicious. A good selection of most popular Cantonese dishes, as well as some other styles of Chinese cuisine.
Also a popular destination for various banquets, given the size of the restaurant. So be forewarned, don't be surprised to see a large banquet happening here if you show up on a Saturday evening to grab a bite. It sometimes offers some interesting entertainment while you eat!
Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Chinatown...
