Reviews
Special praise to the restaurant "Le toit rouge", excellent breakfast and also dinner.
Cheap experience worst cleaning, worst customer care, etc.
Check-in was quick and painless. Parking, however, was straight out of The Hunger Games. We were warned it was “limited due to construction,” but didn’t realize “limited” meant “musical chair for car” spot. So we left the car parked the entire stay, terrified that if we moved it, we’d be banished to some sketchy, overpriced lot.
Toiletries: Two tiny tubes of shampoo and conditioner for three adults. That’s not sharing—that’s rationing. Most hotels have dispensers now, so I didn’t pack my own. Lesson learned: BYO shampoo unless you enjoy playing Survivor in the shower. On the bright side, the shower itself was fantastic—like a massage to the back, but a machine gun to the head.
Pillows: One per person. I like options when it comes to neck support, so we requested extras. Thankfully, they arrived.
Restaurant (Le Toit Rouge):
* Spaghetti Bolognese – Generous portion, easily feeds two. Solid choice.
* Meat Lasagna – More sauce than noodles. If you love swimming in meat sauce, this is your dish.
* Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken – Surprisingly fresh, with capers and nicely grilled chicken.
* Cheeseburger with Fries – Burger scored 7/10 from my daughter (our resident burger critic). Cheese was MIA, and the fries were limp and cold—like Costco fries left out too long.
The Bill: $126 with tip. Verdict: food is hit-or-miss, stay was okay. Would I return? Probably not as a first or second choice.
The location is good for a nice walk in the Olympic park grounds.
