It's now called "East Sacred Hotel Leo" (Dong Fang Sheng). The staff is very friendly and efficient, a feeling we generally had in Beijing, despite visiting the city during the autumn holiday week. At reception, we mainly dealt with Julie; Lisa did the room cleaning with great care and attention. A varied breakfast is included in the room rate. The hotel's location is excellent, just two minutes from the subway, and if you enjoy walking, you can reach the Lama Temple in 20 minutes, the Temple of Confucius in 30, and the Drum Tower in 45 minutes. Thank you very much for your interest and attention during our stay.

A very nice and well-run hotel on Dongsi Street - the border between the old inner and outer city. 20-30 minutes walk to the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Lama Temple, and the Drum and Bell Towers. Metro station right next door. Groceries, restaurants and shops right next door. A small but good mix of Chinese and Western breakfast and good coffee in addition to tea of ​​course. Draft beer can be purchased. Good wifi (with the usual Chinese censorship) and good sleeping comfort despite the fact that Dongsi Street is very busy. Very nice host. Recommended.
